Good. Cause the way he was moving his body sure looked like it could be spinal cord. That facemask left him vulnerable to the ensuing hit. Neither of which was that bad, but just bad timing. Facemask looked worse initially than on replay.

Per CBB, he had surgery on his neck and timetable for return is unclear.

Crazy that he had surgery but I am praying that he makes a full recovery. He is a dandy.

Damn, I saw the video of the injury but I didn't recognize who it was until I saw a tweet about it. Really liked Williams when he was committed to us. Great great kid I ish we could have hung onto. But I'm glad to hear it's not as bad as originally feared. Wish him a full recovery and much success with the Hogs.

If that were my son I think we'd come to the conclusion his football career is over. That is a terrifying injury.

I agree in the sense that it's terrifying because it was so close to being so much worse, and it would certainly be understandable to not want that risk again. But being the gamer that he is, I highly doubt he will allow himself to give up on a dream like that. Those type of injuries are pretty rare, and honestly there's a better chance of being seriously injured a million other ways than football. Doesn't mean you live life scared and/or quit doing the things you love doing because of it.

I'm so unclear. Hope he makes a full recovery. Really unfair to him and our team, he was very promising.
