Quincey McAdoo’s once-promising Arkansas football career is now over. The former wide receiver-turned-cornerback is one of three Razorbacks from last year’s team who are hanging up their cleats and receiving a medical hardship, Best of Arkansas Sports has learned. He is joined by offensive linemen Eli Henderson and Terry Wells, both of whom were backups buried on the depth chart. Another reserve offensive lineman, Cole Carson, has already graduated and will also move on despite being just a redshirt sophomore.

That stinks for the kid. He legit showed promise when he made that move over to DB. At least he is still 6 foot above ground though, after what happened to him. Kid is lucky.

He just Tweeted this out, so maybe he's not officially done yet. Either way, the dude is lucky.

So that is another level of screwed up if Andrew Hutchinson reported this and it is not true, or he did not have permission from Quincey himself.

247 reported it too so I’m assuming they got it from the staff. I don’t think that’s really something you can mix up so I’m guessing Quincey is just not coming to terms with it yet.

The school/staff can medically retire a player. They have the same scholly just do not count towards the limit.

If the school thinks he's done but he does not he can still play just not at Arkansas.

Sorry to hear this for him if true, it was obvious he loved the game.

He was likely an NFL corner with as much promise he showed at such a young age.

He really messed up his back. Issues with vertebrae and such. Lucky to just walk again.

If we could field a team with his fire, confidence and intensity we’d be in good shape. I love the way he played and as a fan this hurts. That lick he put on that kansas receiver was brutal….and legal..haha.
