I guess I don’t recall anyone asking for your opinion or for you to post here…

Cal had talent out the arse and only 1 Natty to show for it, and that was more about "The Brow" being a throwback team player and not the modern "give me the rock" player. Without him, Cal would have ZERO Natty's at UK.

Cal is a terrible "in game" coach but will not let an assistant handle this part of the job based on ego. I really do not see this changing at Arkansas.

I would love to see the Hogs back to Eddie and Nolan level of competition, just seriously doubt Cal will be what you think he will. I could be wrong, but experience tells me he will not be the savior you think he will.

The truth is, all of this is correct, BUT Cal was still the best possible hire we could have made. The list of “better coaches” out there when you consider all aspects of the game is very, very small.

Cal has underachieved in the past 8-10 years, but he’s still a Top 10 coach nationally despite his poor in-game management

My feelings are not hurt.

I would love to see the Hogs back on top where they used to be. Barnhill and Stokley were great places to watch a game.

I don’t care for cal personally either but he’s a proven recruiter

He is not a bad person in person, and he can recruit. The issue is his "in game" lack of coaching ability. Go back and watch that early NCAA game in his UK career where he played Huggy Bear in a game he should have easily won but Huggy Bear beat him with better adjustment during the game. What you will find over time is this was a norm, not an exception.

To have a Final Four team on paper every Fall only to settle for a first round NCAA loss or and NIT bid gets old. To miss the NCAA or NIT altogether at the end can get really old after awhile. Just saying unless he can get an assistant who he lets coach the games and he just recruits, this may be tough.

If you are old enough to remember the Triplets, imagine having them back on the court and missing the NIT at the end of a season.
