Would Hillary win Arkansas if she gets the Democrat nomination? I know the clintons are from here, but would the state support her?

Just asking, bc I've seen several people with Hillary bumper sticks as of late

I can't speak for the entire state, but there's a better chance of snow in an Arkansas summer than hillary Clinton getting my vote.

She's too conservative for me to vote for her.

Hillary never got the love here that bill did.

Arkansas has made the transition from old south Democrats to a solid red Republican state now. Not one Democrat in our Congressional delegation and a batshit crazy state Legislature..

I think Bill could put in work for Hillary and make it closes than the last election, but I don't see her winning the state.

Not a chance. Now if you are driving around the Heights or Hillcrest in LR there's a good chance you'll see a Hillary sticker on a Volvo or something like that.

Her being "from here" won't help her although she's really not from here but sometimes depending on her audience she may try to pass herself off as one of us. LINK

She'll have support in Pulaski and Jefferson Counties and the Delta. She'll get crushed in NWA and pretty much everywhere else outside of the areas previously mentioned. Media darling Barack Obama could only garner 37% of the votes here versus Mittens in 2012. See map below. Bill Clinton got about 53-54% of the vote here in his Presidential races in a much different political climate. We're very much a Red State certainly when it comes to modern day Presidential races.

I don't think Obama even campaigned in Arkansas, did he? I know he didn't in 2008.

Arkansas' 4 electoral votes didn't matter enough for Obama to campaign here and I suspect the same will be true for Hillary, although she'll probably make a few stops.

Not that it matters, but it's hard to win a state when you don't even try.

I'm pretty sure that's right. They knew it would fruitless to spend time and money here outside of a token effort so they were focusing elsewhere.

Now I'm guessing Hillary and Bill et al will do more than that but it still won't be enough to change the result here so again the focus will be elsewhere.

Hillary will come here but it will be more for fundraising than campaigning. They still know some heavy hitters in these parts. I think she had a fundraiser/dinner in Little Rock last week.

There is some truth to this, after one of Bill's early runs (congress I think) she was told to tone it down and be more wifely.

Hillary Clinton is a self-righteous, egomaniac bitch.

She bailed to NYC the first chance she got. She's not an Arkansan. She just lived there for a little while, while she rode on her husbands coattails.

Go ahead and elect this goofy bitch - then watch Paris happen in an American city.

I knew a couple of professors that knew the Clintons personally when they lived in Fayetteville and even among that solidly Democratic crowd they seemed very meh towards Hillary.

She is not held in high esteem in this state to put it mildly.
