I understand that Bret enjoys milking the clock and he likes to huddle up to make sure everyone knows the call. there is a problem in this when playing a team like alabama and others who have alot of defensive depth. it allows them to make substitutions far to easily and win the chess match.

I wish we would at times when playing teams with tons of depth; take the peyton manning approach to the no huddle. Get up to the line to prevent substitutions, not go fast. we could milk the clock and still go no huddle. we could just get up to the line and wait to snap the ball. it would essentially take away thier advantage, and still coincide with bret's philosophy. bret after the game brought up the fact that we went no huddle and had some success. I do not see why at times we don't do this just for the sake of not letting teams sub, and still control the clock. it literally perplexes me why we don't do this sometimes. we could make the call from the sideline like we do during the 2 minute drill, keep them on the field, and control TOP.

Other team offense cant score, if they arent on the field.

Right, which is why lining up quickly then milking the clock seems like the best thing to do.

I do not have a problem with our pace honestly. I have a problem with the way we go about it. we are basically ignoring an advantage.

our offensive linemen would need to be very disciplined and not false start is the only issue I see

I do like the idea of us going into a no huddle here and there, and it seems we executed it fairly well against Bammer. Doing it full time almost erases the advantage we get from it though. Doing it sparingly like we have catches the defense off guard, and "traps" certain defensive players on the field that we use to our advantage.

I do not expect us to do it full time, what I do believe though is we should use it to our advantage. I also think we should go no huddle and hurry up in situations when we have defenses on thier heels and we feel it. I'm just saying that at times I don't see why we don't use the rules to our advantage as others do and stay within our philosophy
