I think the play calling will be just fine with Enos. He knows what he's doing with our offense. I am with Stonehog on being skeptical of how the new guys execute. I'm not completely negative about it, but we haven't had a fast start under Bielema yet. It's a wait and see thing, because I drank the kool-aid last year and felt like an arse after Toledo.

I can understand your point, I just disagree that having a new coordinator last year is less of a factor than having an entirely new offensive personnel this year. If it took us 4-5 games last year to gel, I don't see how we'll "click" in week 1. There will be a lot of growing pains, as Austin Allen has never started a game. We have a brand new O line. Kody Walker is our starting running back.

Feels like we're throwing a bunch of young boys out there this year. Doesn't make me too confident in the offense.

Losing JWill and the losses on defense cost us early last year. Return 9 starters on D if they are solid the offense will have time to catch up. It's not like AA is a freshmen either, been around 3 years with a stacked receiver corps.

I did. I also saw on it the word OR next to his name. Kody will get the first few carries of game 1 because he's a senior and a captain. Maybe even the first full series. Then RW3 and Devwah will take over the majority of the every down duties and Kody will be relegated to short yardage duties. He'll be Broderick Green. He's never been anything more. Book it.

I understand Stone's stance. We all got burned a season ago.

But, this is going to be a good offense. We put up FITTY against La Tech this weekend.

I had forgotten about ole puddin. What a waste of talent. He was just never a strong runner and had no top end speed.

Doesn't matter how good the receivers are if the quarterback can't get them the ball. And RW3 is coming back from a broken neck. Austin is green and we have a brand new o line, not to mention a starting guard who has never played on the offensive line.

I'll pump sunshine if I believe, but this offense is worrisome.

yup, I'm refusing all Kool-Aid until I see Austin play a couple games.

If he can be efficient, not force throws and get picked off, check into safe plays, read a defense on a 3 step drop and play with a rhythm that allows us to chew up clock like Bielema enjoys doing.

Then I'll get hyped. We've got some beasts on the schedule like always. If we have to outscore teams like last season due to the Defense being poor then it'll be a rough season.

No, I'm giving my honest assessment of our offense. We have a new quarterback, new running back, and a new O line. Doesn't really matter how good our receivers are if Austin is on his arse the whole game. I'm in wait and see mode, which is perfectly reasonable considering we have an entirely new offense that is unproven.

What does that have to do with our offense in week 1?

TCU lost more on offense than we did and yet folks have them in the top 15 with some predicting a Big 12 title over okie.

Not only do we have most of our starters back on defense, we've got most of our depth back as well. Can't see how we don't pick up where we left off from last year and be a better defense fairly early with our new DB coach making a positive impact.

On offense, we're replacing starters with very highly recruited players, Froholdt-Top 100 player, Raulerson-4star, Jackson 3star, beating out two 4star players.

RB - replace one four star player with 2 four star players. RB is a position that a player can be very effective as a freshman.

Can't replace Henry without some drop off. I'm not sure Sprinkle will be the all around TE that Hunter was in terms of route running, making tough catches in traffic, blocking, etc. And just an unknown to me how good the next two will be.

Sprinkle put up a lot of his numbers being wide arse open last year because of the attention on Henry. The wide outs should help him this year hopefully.

We upgrade at FB and last year's starter is back.

QB - Look for something similar to Brandon's junior year and if Austin doesn't have the jitters that BA had at that time, then he will be better than BA's junior year. He needs some confidence boosters early.

The offense really clicked into that big sack. I also like how Austin clicked on that interception.
