Loved that. He definitely wanted to start on the right foot and he did it. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall in the meeting with the players. Judging by Twitter, those dudes got pumped up.

Also, lets stop putting our new coach on the spot with making them do a Hog Call. I love our school cheer, but its always awkward as hell for the new guy.

I think the coach should have to do it. It's a pretty big tradition at this point and while i'm not usually a traditionalist it's a recognizable marketable thing for our school. People love doing stupid looking shite in big groups.

Its awkward but I still think they should have to do it. The Petrino hog call live on ESPN was hilarious. You could feel the country saying WTF? and all of us rejoicing.

We'll just agree to disagree. I don't think a guy stepping off of the plane should have to do something that is, to anybody outside of Arkansas, really weird. He's getting paid over 3 million dollars so he will get over it, but I think he should have his feet on the ground for a little while before he is "forced" to do that.
