Other than the passing game, what did Petrino do better than Nutt?

didn't lose the games we shouldn't.

petrino put together a 10 and 11 win season back to back. Petrino also didn't leave us with a huge talent void. We aren't as bad off next season as we were petrinos first season. Petrino was a shite bag person but as a coach he is much better than nutt. Other than the complete failure of a season we've recovered much better from petrino than we did from nutt.

As a one time member of the media, it'd have to be Nutt by a wide margin. Covering Petrino was joyless, though I would have given anything to see Pork Rind Jimmy ask Petrino if he'd been on a motorcycle lately.

I worked on his show Inside Razorback Football and he would disrespect the equipment all the time.

Our microphones plugged into the desk and there were always wires and connectors on the floor, standard for any studio. One time instead of just stepping over the connector, he kicked the shite out of it and it went flying across the floor.

Lo and behold, we go to mic him and it doesn't work. After about 15 minutes of troubleshooting, Petrino pipes up and yells 'Come on guys let's hurry up!' knowing full well that he caused the audio issue. He is a genuine piece of shite.

my how quickly our tune has changed now that nutt is a distant memory.

note I didn't say Nutt was a good ambassador, just that he was better than Petrino.

As I said, cream of the crap.

Honest question.

How many game would we have won last season if Petrino had been retained? I'm gonna go with 7 tops, and then next year what does he do with no proven QB?

Face it, Petrino had TWO really good year here, but the recruiting was catching up to him..

Auburn
Kentucky
4 OOC games
aTm becomes the toss up( probably a loss but a lot better game)
Ole miss
State
LSU
Losses:
Bama
USC

He disrespected everyone who had to deal with him to do their job. And his SOTs sucked real hard, too.

Not sure if the people that picked Nutt just thought that Petrino was an arse or a worse coach...

We don't know what Petrino would've done over an extended period of time, but while he was here he improved his record every year... Soooo... Petrino easily.
