You can go to the Natural Market and check out all of the free range hippies in their natural habitat. Maybe head up to the Duggars and watch a natural child birth. They have a show every 2 hours on the weekends.

You might get to go see a Duggar beating a stripper there.

Where are you staying? (which town, part of town)
What would you be interested in doing?
The thread linked up there gives a pretty good summary. Fayetteville is a drinking/cycling/hiking town. On fall Saturdays, it is also a football town.

you definitely need to spend some time in the most beautiful part of the state. Namely central Arkansas, Little Rock. Visit the Asher Avenue historical improvement museum, The building alone are unbelievable architecture to behold.
Then take a turn to Pine Bluff and visit the amazing river museum, and the music down by the tracks.
Then take a visit to the greatest doublewide in the US by visiting the Clinton Museum in NLR.
and prior to leaving our fine state, make sure you visit Harrison AR. This little area has done wonders for race relations world wide.
Thank me later, enjoy!

No, man, don't be bringing NLR down. The double wide is on the south side of the river.

If you want to see some amazing natural scenery not too far away. There is a place called Yellow Rock in Devil's Den Park about 30 minutes away from campus.

Yellow Rock trail is nice. The trailhead is about 25 minutes from town. I usually don't even go down into Devil's Den park, just access the trail off the highway there.
There's some pretty killer hiking in the city limits of Fayetteville, too.
Mount Kessler is friggen fantastic, and you don't even have to leave town. Access the "back side" on the little road by the old Ozark Mountain Smokehouse, a few blocks west of Lowe's on MLK, drive about 1/4 mile up. Hike 5 minutes and you feel like you're in the wilderness. Great rock formations and views, too.
THE PICS BELOW ARE IN THE CITY LIMITS OF FAYETTEVILLE!!
