Mike's success will be determined by transfers / early entries into draft.

For one reason or another, MA hasn't had roster stability since he's been here. Last season would have looked vastly different with Qualls and Jacori Williams on the team. Williams is averaging 17.5 PPG and 7.5 RPG at Middle Tennessee. This year we could have used Jimmy Whitt or Nick Babb even though the team has turned out to be solid.

There has been talk of Barford going pro this year and maybe freshmen transferring due to playing time. Was looking at the next two season though and with recruits coming in we should make the tourney every year as long as nothing unexpected happens.

This is my best stab at our roster the next couple years. Looks promising especially with how many underclassman we'll have playing in 2019. It still leaves two scholarships for 2018.

2017 - 2018

G - Beard SR 6-0 190
G - Barford SR 6-3 202
G - Macon SR 6-3 185
F - Cook SR 6-8 215
F - GAFFORD FR 6-9 217 (4*, #33 in country)

G - Jones SO 6-5 175
G - GARLAND FR 6-6 195 (4*)
G - HALL FR 6-6 210 (3*)
F - Hazen SO 6-8 195
G/F - Bailey SO 6-6 204
F - Thomas SR 6-8 225
F - Thompson SR 6-9 260

2018 / 2019

G - Garland SO 6-6 195
G - Jones JR 6-5 175
G/F - Bailey JR 6-6 205
F - PERRY FR 6-9 200 (4* #33 in class)
F - Gafford SO 6-9 217

G - Hall SO 6-6 210
G - SILLS FR 6-2 180 (4*)
G - JOE FR 6-2 160 (3*)
F - Hazen JR 6-8 195
F - HENDERSON FR 6-8 185 (4*, #79 in class)

Very nice..

Does Gafford have one or two year and gone NBA talent? I have seen his tapes but its hard to tell when he is so much bigger than anyone he plays against.

The transfers are hurting the college game more than the one and dones imo.

Teams were better, the game was better, when guys developed over a couple seasons instead of getting mad and transferring to where they can play immediately.

No clue. He's not as highly rated as Portis was and Portis stayed two years. I guess it will depend how he develops next couple years.

Agreed. I sure hope Jones, Hazen, Bailey all see that their playing time will be there as Juniors and Seniors and stick around.

Bailey is starting to get more PT since Dustin Thomas' time has been severely reduced. Jones is the one I can see leaving after this season.

not sure why people think this.

CJ flipped in the late signing period months after Macon and Barford already committed. we already had beard, manny, and hannahs.

if he was so concerned with frosh mins, he should have just gone to chattanooga.

mins at the guard spots are gonna be wide open next, especially if one of Macon or Barford decide to go. so im not sure why limited pt for a unheralded freshmen who had shitty offers and flipped late would bolt after a season in which he already knew there would be 5 guards in front of him.

Totally logical but you never know when dealing with 18 and 19 year old kids.

After watching guys like Qualls and Olu Famutini declare for the draft when they had no shot in hell I don't count on anything.

Gafford is a four year player a slightly more polished kingsley

No one is leaving. Burford could. But as of now won't. I have about as close a contact to Macon as possible. He hates school but his mom will literally kill him if he don't leave with a degree, great family

Or if we lose to Mizzou and miss the tourney none of this shite will matter.
