We should care about them because we have the talent instate coming up (as the men in 18-20) to turn the program around just like South Carolina and Mississippi State have. Neither of those programs were any good years ago.
Not only is Christyn Williams a star impact player but Yo'Myris Morris, Kennedy Tucker, Elauna Eaton and many more coming could change the current situation.
Problem is the coach.
In 2017 the top two instate aren't coming.
Abigayle Jackson from Central is going to Auburn
Bre'Amber Scott from Central is going to Miss State

99% of hog fans don't know who they are, nor do they care.
That's my point. Why do we care if we have good title 9 sports?

I suppose that's fine if that's your opinion but...
if you suck at your job you lose goodwill and good pub.

Even if JL does fire him, I wouldn't put any faith in JL finding a good replacement.

It matters period.
I know there are some on here who differ and it is ok, for you to be dead wrong.
I have daughters, and they are great at sports. Seeing other young women succeed in athletics is a promising thing for my girls, and me as a father.
We have many very good NCAA D 1 caliber female athletes in this state and there is no reason that the UofA cant be a household name in ncaa WB!
The coach is the problem, Blair should be the coach. I still get peeved when I think about it.

Is Blair's wife still a professor in the U of A system? I believe I read somewhere just a few years ago that she was... never mind just looked it up and she's the director of the school of nursing on campus. They take turns visiting each other.
So a coach that had us perennially ranked, took us to the Final 4, and loves the area and school so much his wife still teaches here. Oh and he won a natty at the school he went to after us. Well, thank God we replaced him with 14 years of futility.

Exactly.. Frustrating to say the least!

Depends, what is the team GPA? Based on the answer, Dykes may be a tremendous success.

It matters because this is a basketball state.
Williams is like literally the best player in the country she isn't remotely considering Arkansas

Time for Jimmy to go back to ESPN, but... but... all of those wonderful views, and all of the knowledge he shared on a game by game basis.. Well, it seems a little off now, doesn't it?

I saw an article on WholeHog that Dykes finally admitted the collapse this year stemmed back to the anthem kneeling. No surprise to us but it was interesting to see him admit it.

Yep that was it. He handled that about as bad as you could in a southern state. He should have got some advice from Mike on what he was going to do when his players asked and done that instead.

Damn you, Lebron, and your stupid way with words that lingers on.

The word is that he had no choice in the matter. Higher ups told him that he couldn't tell the players that they couldn't kneel and then they left him to take the heat.
