yeah my sister is trying to get me to go to the game tomorrow.

I'm trying to find a way to not go and not disappoint my niece. Gymnastics, volleyball, even soccer or tennis I'm down for, but softball is probably the program I wouldn't kill a saturday afternoon on.

We have been absolutely dead in the water when it comes many of our women's sports. We can certainly have success, our Track team has done quite well, our golf team is good, Gymnastics are fine. But where we are bad we are REALLY bad.

Academically though we've assembled a juggernaut that crushes the men's sports... on most of the women's teams it would be much faster to list the students who don't have monster GPAs. It'd be nice to keep the extremely high grades and pick up some more wins.

My daughter is a catcher, and I keep talking up the program. She's never made below an "A" going into 9th grade. She made an 18 on the ACT in 7th grade, and she'll go wherever she wants on an academic scholarship - but a little piece of me wants her to go to the You of A.

Ultimately though, it's her life, and WPS!

That'll pack the stadium.

Don't wish that evil upon your daughter

sounds like she's got everything they're looking for.

(btw, don't sacrifice the chance to get an education outside of Arkansas and make global connections to hump around college playing a non-revenue sport that takes time away from studying and working a p/t job or internship in your field of study)
