Maybe in the weeks leading up to football season we can discuss our big games in the order they appear on our schedule. So first, lets look at TCU.

Opponent: TCU Horned Frogs
2015 Record: 11-2
Series Record: Arkansas leads 43-23-2
Last Meeting: 10/5/1991 TCU won @ home 22-21
Series Streak: Arkansas has won 30 of the last 33 games
Returning Starters on Offense: 3(1 OL, 2 WR)
Returning Starters on Defense: 8(3 DL, 2 LB, 3 DB)

According to Nationalchamps.net TCU returns only 2 players on the two deep from the OL. This is where I think we take advantage of TCU on the road. The Arkansas Dline is too experienced and deep to not be able to out physical the Frogs up front.

DE Caraway is the likely star of the TCU defense. It will be important for the Arkansas OL to create running lanes for Williams, Walker, and Whaley. This could be a classic ground and pound low scoring game. While the Arkansas defense was the teams weak point last season, all signs point to improvement on that side of the ball this coming season. It will also be important for Enos to use misdirection as he did against LSU a season ago to negate the speed on the TCU defense. Make no bones about it, TCU should have a very solid defense. They're weakness a year ago seemed to be misdirection and over pursuit in the games they had big plays hit on them.

I look for misdirection with the WRs coupled with dives up the middle playing off fakes to the WRs coming across in a jet sweep motion. That will also set up Sprinkle in the flats using misdirection and sending him into the open space with the OLB biting on the fake jet sweep to Cornelius, Morgan, or Hatcher.

Express your thoughts...lets strike up some convo leading up to the season...

Its hard to take a Bert led Razorback team early in the season. With that said, I'm hoping that by retaining both our Coordinators will change the trend.

Our OL scares the hell out of me.

Defense looks to be a strength of both teams

Apparently their OL was banged up a lot of last season and some of their starters this year got plenty of experience at the back end of last year? Can anyone attest to that or am I thinking of their defense?

Not sure what to think of this one, but as long as we don't get blown out its sort of a win-win. No one will point to it as a huge embarrassing out of conference loss for us but it could but a marquee win going into a brutal SEC schedule. Very excited for the match up.

Anyone know where to get some decent tickets?

Also as far as match ups a Gary Patterson defense always scares me. I don't necessarily like the guy but he is a damn good coach. Will be fun to see what Enos draws up to take pressure off of Austin and our OL. I feel like this game will be decided in the trenches. How our OL is able to handle their DL and vice versa.

The biggest worry for me in this game is Kenny Hill. We had some trouble with him in the 2014 game against A&M. I feel very good about this game if we are able to contain him and make him beat us with his arm. Can't allow him to pick up 1st downs with his feet.

Ground control game for the Hogs keeping the TCU offense off the field. That said we have plenty of big play threats ourselves so I won't be surprised if we hit them big...as noted JRed against LSU.

I just don't think they can stack up against our offensive style regardless of the concerns on OL. I know we have new faces but I'm pretty sure we will be ok.

We will get a lot of respect and confidence with this game IMO

I'm pretty excited about this game tbh. I think we win by touchdown. Anybody going to this game? I believe they just had a lot of renovations on the stadium.

Yea. I lean your way here. While everyone seems to be overly concerned with our OL, I am not. In place we have a solid core of 3 guys who have a lot of game experience in Skipper, Ragnow, and Wallace. That is a damn good core group to have up front with only two holes to fill. Those three are going to push someone around up front. Just no way around it.

Hopefully the transfer from Texas can take over at Center like he was slated to do at Texass. If he can, this gives us a solid group of 4 up front with big time game experience with only one "weaker" guy in the game experience category.

Bert has good Olines, bottom line.

The two that return on the two deep are the ones who filled in the last three games. They lost 4 starters and OL is a very major concern for TCU this season. Noteboom is a veteran at C, but thats about it. They have upper classmen, but just not that much experience.

Yeah that right side of the O-line is skrong. We can lean on them to open up holes in the run game.

Jesus Christ. It's hard to remember how dominant we were against Baylor, Tech, TCU, SMU and Rice.

All of those programs ticked upwards after we left the SWC and our Texas recruiting went to shite.

Baylor and tech went on the upswing when they were the first of the Texas schools to implement the high school offenses. Bryles started the offense that is most popular when he was a coach in hs, the Pirates system has proven over and over again that over all talent isn't a necessity on the offense, well until defenses caught up.

They were dominating the recruiting just stack he roster with the kids Texas and ou didn't want while taking some from aggy in the process.

They haven't named a starter. Hill ended up sucking dick and being benched at aTm.

Doubtful. That behavior is encouraged at A&M.
