The THV11 family is mourning the loss of one of our own. Longtime THV11 personality Beth Ward has passed away. Beth was in the Arkansas broadcast business for 37 years before retiring in 2006. Many remember Beth as host of our noon newscast, previously called “Arkansas Today,” which she had helped launch at THV11 in 1987. At the time of her retirement, she had been on Arkansas television longer than any other personality in the market. Beth’s home state is Virginia; she came to Arkansas in the mid-1960's where she spent her entire career and retirement. The longtime TV icon’s career included interviews with celebrities, doctors, politicians, and more on “Arkansas Today.” Many Arkansans say they “grew up” watching Beth. Our hearts are with Beth’s family during this time; she will be missed tremendously.
