Dude, why are you bitching about the bowl then. If you are so disinterested because we won't do what it takes to win.

Stick with Baseball and Basketball threads.
I enjoy the fact that we are no longer the bottom of the crap barrel.

Chad is gone, Bert is gone, SMile is gone, I want to go to the game. I want to discuss the game, I want to see us win, root on the hogs, and enjoy the game with my family.

Evidently you dont give a shite, right? Well bro, it looks as you give plenty of them to keep the diatribe up. WPS

Arkansas will have a lot of fans there due to Memphis area having a ton of hog fans. I do worry about us being up for the game.

I expect Kansas to beat us.

The only pecking order needed to be learned is unless a certain school is headed to a new year six bowl then the rest of the bowls below it are the same.

Liberty Bowl payout is around 4.7 million and Birmingham is around 1.3 mil. Only a difference of 3.4 mil, so I can see where you'd say they're the same.

They needed to have a bigger payout who else is crazy enough to go to Memphis? You put both shitty cities together and you still get a bigger pile of shite.

All they have to do is play hard and they can beat Kansas. Arkansas is still more talented but Arkansas needs to play with some level of care.

They can play like they did against Ole Miss or play like they did against Liberty. Sam really needs to win this game because going 6-7 with losses to Kansas, Missouri and Liberty is an impressive list of awful.

The Liberty Bowl is one of the longest active bowls in college football. It was first played in 1959, which is why it’s not a bottom bowl and it has a payout of $4.7mil.

No longer at the bottom of the crap barrel? Arkansas finished fifth in the west. That isn't far from the bottom and barely above two teams that quit during the season. It will take more than a few seasons for Arkansas to get out of the basement.

It is a long way to the top but the basement is just a couple bad seasons away.

It isn't the lowest of the lowest bowls but it isn't a good bowl and certainly not a desirable location. Citrus is a major bowl with a payout over 8 million. That destination offers a lot more than Memphis. Memphis doesn't offer much and it sure isn't safe not even during the day.

Some of these bowls are in bad locations but offer something in return. I had more fun at the Texas bowl because I stayed in Galveston and you have more opportunities to do things than you would in Memphis. Galveston had seen better days but at least you could walk around and not get kidnapped.

to each their own, I hated, HATED the texas bowl other than beating Texas.

It was so white washed and didn't even feel like a real football game.

To others, NOT DC

also, look what the liberty bowl has planned for the future in refurbs, gonna be nice for an outdoor venue.

Kansas will want it more than us and we will come out flatter than a pancake and fall short in the 4th quarter after making up some ground in the second half.

Can see it already. At least there will be a Hog basketball game on simultaneously that I can switch to.

Are we the first team to take part in the Liberty Bowl after being defeated by Liberty University in the same season?

Might be our time to shine.

Motivation has been a problem for this team all year. First they didn't respect Missouri State and needed a big fourth quarter to beat them.

Then the superman fumble happened and from that point on played like the walking dead against the aggies. Sam should have addressed that fumble to the team better but he told a reporter it wasn't a big deal. Big mistake.

They were afraid of Bama and got bitch slapped by them in the first half. This was the most vulnerable Bama team in a decade and then bullied Arkansas around like that home is unacceptable.

The Liberty game was the worst experience I had since the Chad years. Nothing but dead energy from the team. They once again didn't respect the opponent but this time paid the price.

The Missouri game well they just wanted it more and again didn't respect Missouri. Until Arkansas takes them seriously then that will a loss from now on.

Now we have Kansas. Will Arkansas get up for them? If the season has shown, well that would be a no.

Kansas is going to be very motivated in this game and looking at how Arkansas has played this year, I don't see them matching that level of intensity. All they have to do is play hard and they will win. But we don't know what team will show up.
