It's the offseason. I'm bored and want to talk about busts. Is there anybody that could be considered a bigger bust in recent Arkansas history? He's seriously one of the most talented high school players I've EVER seen. Watch his tape if you don't believe.

LINK

He was a bigger version of CJ Spiller and could've been the best KR in Arkansas history and one of the best RBs. He got kicked off and transferred down to FCS to EIU so he could play immediately and he still managed to log ZERO stats of any kind last season. Make of that what you will.

The only guy that could compete with him for biggest bust in the past 15 years or so is Marquel Wade IMO. Forget recruiting ranking, I'm just talking about talent. Both of those guys proved in college that they had it on the field, and then they both shat the opportunity away by being dumbasses off of it.

Any other huge busts recently? Other than Mustain and Winston (and please god no mention of Shabazz), who have been discussed ad nauseam.

Marquel Wade immediately comes to mind. Last I saw he was putting up barely any stats in some low level arena football league.

Also, while he wasn't highly rated, I had extremely high hopes for Defonta Lowe. I really thought he was going to be our next great safety.

Marshall's speed was crazy. Can't help but think of what might have been.

Did we ever get to the bottom of what exactly happened with Korliss Marshall?

Never got away from the bad influences in his life.

His older brother followed him to Fayetteville.

Marshall had crazy speed. We didn't get enough of him for me to get a feel for vision and lateral movement.

Marquel Wade was a special talent.

I will mention Shabazz since you said not to. He wasn't a bust since he never made the grades to get there. He was probably the greatest athlete this state has ever produced. Unbelievably gifted. Bo Jacksonesque.

Jason Henry has to be up there. Kid could straight up play basketball when he wasn't busy running hoes and doing drugs.

Korliss Marshall is a huge bust.

Mustain- was overrated from the get go. I know a bunch of people who said that damian williams was the all star of those springdale teams

Winston- I like him too bad willy rob wasn't going to teach a damn thing to our secondary while we had him.

Wingo- Kid should have switched positions at some point instead of grinding it out at the back of our running back rotation for 4 years. Could run a great wheel route and probably would have been an epic WR.

De'anthony Curtis- just never seemed to get it all put together and hold on to the ball at the same time.

Fortson- had a great slashing game and at times could make a great pass. Too selfish and loved DRUGS!!!!!!!

I went to the FHS-SHS game their senior year and Damian was hands down the best player on the field and it wasn't close.

My last semester in college was also their first and I had a summer class with both of them and Andrew Norman. Damian just looked like a day one SEC starter even then while Mitch and Andrew looked like kids in comparison.

There's a reason Damian played in the NFL.

Mitch def. had talent, just probably not the all world talent they made it out to be. He had 98 MPH gas on the mound, you can't teach that.

Norman was a hell of an athlete as well. Def. could have been a solid contributer ala Drew Morgan but he liked hanging out off the field better. Wouldn't call him a hard partier by any means, just seemed to be "over" football by the time college started. It happens..
