No clue, but the best part was when an Auburn-Opelika reporter asked him about being able to scout players in Arkansas because how different the football is played (Majority running the HUNH in his words) versus how he plays.

Bert looked at him then gave an answer that had to do with recruiting but in no way answered his original question other than Arkansas was first priority, then making a bigger push in Texas and finding the right guys from Florida.

I've been waiting for a spark. The Bielema hate, and the excitement for the football season is just about enough to get me back on the SECr. Some good times are ahead of us.

I just hopped over to lurk the rant for a second and saw 4 or 5 Bielema threads. I got a half chub.

They are full of the insecurities of Auburn, Ole Miss, Tenner, and aTm fans...

I know. I've been looking to cherry pick some posts/posters, but I'm still waiting for the sweetest bite.

Auburn fans didn't want to discuss Gus being from Nutt's coaching tree for some reason.

hahahaha oh jeez, that's never occured to me. Through traditional school of thought regarding coaching trees Gussy Poo is a branch off the HDN bonzai.

Nutt, Gratham (sp?), and Chizik, so you can see why they are excited.

Bert is from the Fry, Snyder, and Alvarez trees.

Fry's tree is impressive, but you have to remember he is from Broyles' tree which is just as if not more impressive with all the NCs and SuperBowl wins.

Predictions for leading receiver? I say Herndon

I wonder how far into the progression our OL and Allen's nerves will let him get...

Allen is going to get more comfortable with one receiver, and that's going to be whoever is dialed up as option 1 or 2 most often by Chaney. Option 3 may not get many balls, especially in the meat of the SEC season.

I'm going to say McKay.

So I'm at the reception for my wife's friend's wedding. They were surprised with a video of Bret Bielema giving them a personal message congratulating them on their marriage. After the video was over everybody cheered then got up and called the hogs. I just thought that was pretty cool.

has anybody heard anything about DeMarcus Hodges or Darius Philon? they were both highly touted before signing with us, I'm wondering if they are progressing at all.
