Good thing we're stacked at receiver.

Assumed that when it happened...

So, that's our top RB, WR and DB out for the season.

How many teams wouldn't drop and extra game or two after that?

Injuries can't be an excuse man. I say they are legit excuses, but everyone else will tell you they can't be.

The deal is other teams recruit well enough to survive those things. We don't.

I think we all expected he was done for the year though.

We'll hear about it the rest of the year, straight from the Elephant's mouth.

And A&M fans...wait, they just beat Arkansas with a 3rd string QB and a roster comprised of 40% freshmen.

Don't need a link if you watched the game. They pointed out that there was 18 freshman contributing on that A&M team. It was also thier 3rd string qb.

Alabama has already used 17, before their game this past weekend...

That doesn't mean that they are playing major roles.

Mond has played in all three games and is expected to continue to start.

To be exact, it was the first SEC game for 23 freshman Aggies. That means of the 57 players who suited up against Arkansas, 40 percent of them were freshmen. There’s young, and then there’s YOUNG. Right now, the Aggies are the latter.

He MAY have been starting by now had Starkel not been injured, but he certainly was not the starter when the season began. It was widely reported that he was third on the depth chart going into the UCLA game. Everyone but you seems to know this.

So when does he cease being the 3rd stringer?

Now? Since we've played them, or will you continue to consider him the 3rd qb?

Also from your link:

This isn’t a team paced by its freshmen – the majority of the class' contributions come on special teams – but they play a large role.

BTW, any chance that JC applies for a medical redshirt?

Yes, CBB will discuss with him the three options most advantageous to him

1. Try for a Med Redshirt
2. GO ahead and apply for an NFL grade for the draft and decide to stay or go...
3. Go ahead and leave regardless of circumstances involving the nfl.

He thinks he may stay at this time, but wants to show him what is available.

If AA was out for the year would you consider CK QB1 or would you want us to give fat arse a break because he lost his starting QB?

For a team not paced by its freshman they sure as hell got a huge portion of their offensive production from them.

100% of their passing yards
28% of their recieving yards
38% of their rushing yards

22% of their tackles came from freshman as well.

Well, let's talk apples to apples.

If there was a qb competition that obviously wasn't finalized in camp, and then CK took over due to injury, then he'd be QB1.

Not counting the QB, they had 51 FIFTY-ONE total yards by freshman.

Was Alabama paced by freshmen last year when the bulk of their production came from a freshman QB? How about Georgia this year and last?

How many snaps did Mond take before Starkel was injured? It's pretty clear who the starting QB was.

In a game where he was responsible for 65% of their offense? Yes.

Most people would say that he "paced" the Alabama offense in the championship game.

I get it, you like the fat arse. The fact is, that in his first job without daddy looking over his shoulder, he has been an abject failure. Year 5, coming off of a bye week, and he can't beat a lame duck coach with a true freshman starting QB.

Alabama was "paced" by their running game... just like always.

Georgia is being paced by their running game.

A&M is being paced by it's running game.

When your running game is stellar thanks to a great OL, led by zero freshmen, it makes your freshman QB look good. It helps that he was a 4/5 star QB.

BTW, that defense gave up 43 points to what is widely considered a pretty substandard offense. Go freshman defense!

And they still won the game. What's your point? Their freshman gave up less points to a senior QB than the Arkansas upperclassmen gave up to a true freshman QB.

The point is we lost to them when they are at thier worst. Over the next 3-4 years they will become tons better. That team will be special in 3 years.
