re: Its officially gameweek

I just watched (most of) last year's UTEP vs K State game. Pretty much a slaughter.

First 5 UTEP drives were 3 and outs.
Had 2 punts blocked (one negated by inadvertent whistle after the block)
2 punts returned for TDs (1 negated by penalty)
Multiple penalties, busted assignments.
Poor tackling technique, defenders not staying disciplined on PA passes. Our TEs should be open all day long.

Score was 45-0 in the 3rd quarter.
UTEP'S 2nd 1st down didn't come until their scoring drive midway through the 3rd.

In short, I'm pretty confident we cover the spread (-33). Any improvement they may have made this off-season is offset by the fact we are far more physical than K-State.

Yeah their QB last year actually transferred from A&M. He was apparently just edged out by Manziel. But they have a new QB this year.
