I'm Still Nervous (Hopefully a Final Pessimistic Outlook)

I've followed several searches closely over the past few years, with A&M being the most recent until these big 3. One thing remains consistent; all fan bases think they have the job that will finally land Coach X (insert most of the names we are discussing) and it doesn't happen. Google Chris Petersen and then start typing a recent searching school's name. Many have tried, many have failed. I want this to work out so badly. I want bragging rights, I want unprecedented program heights. Yet I'm worried. Worried we cannot be what we should be and what most of us believe we can be. To do this we have to proceed to succeed where others have failed.
In short, I am melting down. I cannot handle more mediocrity. I live amongst Aggies and their recent luck versus our recent bad luck is tough to swallow. Please Jeff Long, please PTB, please make it happen. Do the unthinkable, hire the impossible, and let's climb mount improbable all the way to that Chrystal ball.

I live around LSU fans, work with LSU fans, and in-laws are LSU fans.

I don't like to be serious that often but the only advice I can offer is to find something else you really like to do, video games, recreational drugs, sex with animals etc...
I have a 7 month old daughter and I am a full time college student, so I have been able to lose my self in my real life responsibilities.

With the recent news of Franklin's extension, I don't think we get him either.

Oddly enough I am supposed to defend my dissertation prospectus in 9 days. That should be taking up my time but this mess is consuming me. I try to avoid real life responsibilities but applaud you for handling them.

Those are just such big snags. If we do then we should be so proud and never talk smack about ADMFJL again.

Cal could not pay it, TAMU did not want to pay and we might be the suckers cause we have the money right now. If this is a play by him then it has to be the best one I have ever seen. It is a lose win situation for him. Stay in Boise and have no real AD support, long away games and 30 - 40 thousand fans and we all know what Razorback football is about.

thanks, i can relate to most folks on this board after living in LA for 5 years. I was really hoping for Strong as the HC but don't think that's going to happen. I just think the CP news is coming too early to be legit.
