Don't ask me why. Not my decision.

Regardless, I'll be there. Where are the best tailgating spots? Which bar(s) should we go to that are close to that stadium?

The golf course. You can't miss it.

I would recommend checking out the River Market area downtown, but if you're wanting something close to the stadium, there is Afterthought in Hillcrest (neighborhood just north of the stadium)

If I was there for the game I'd cheerfully supply you with a day's worth of booze.

The three bars that are closest to the stadium are Afterthought, Fountain, and Ciao Baci. A little further away, and outside of walking distance, is Town Pump. Everything else is a bit of a drive. Rivermarket can be fun at times and should be your destination if y'all plan on barhopping.

Afterthought is pretty laid back spot that has live music. It is connected to a restaurant, so it has good food.

Fountain is a beer and wine bar. Very smokey. Good selection.

Ciao Baci is the priciest option. It is a restaurant/bar that has a pretty fun patio area.

Town Pump is outside of walking distance, but it is a fun dive. Good, greasy bar food and a slightly above average beer selection. Really hipstery and it is tough to get a drink when it gets crowded because they are always understaffed at the bar.

Let me know where you are tailgating so I can throw rocks at you.

Which reminds me, if you go south of 630, you will be instantaneously shot/stabbed/robbed/jawyalked on. No one has ever made that journey and returned in one piece.

We are just saying... wear body armor. You won't need it probably, but better safe then perforated.

Don't listen to bear-a-dactyl, those areas he mentioned are horrible for your kind. You need to go South of I-630 to Roosevelt or down on Asher.

Seriously though, you could get your arse whipped just as fast in Hillcrest as you can South of 630. Just watch your mouth.

Only if you look like you deserve it.

I've never had any problems South of 630, even though I grew up in WLR.

I suggest he take Wright Avenue at the intersection with Roosevelt Rd., park at the Salvation Army and head eastward for a leisurely stroll.

Don't do as I say kills.

Me neither, I just find it funny the way some people talk about it. I've experienced worse north of the river than south of 630.

I wanted to see who would pick up on that because if one actually did what I said, I'm thinking they'd come close to running smack dab into the governor's mansion. Hell, when I first moved to L.R., I rented a place off 17th where I'm thinking Rockefeller Elementary now sits. Back in those days, I would many times take long walks all around that area and I'm pretty sure I know where you lived.

horrble neighborhood but I actually had fun living there. Except one day me and a roomie were playing our instruments, and all of a sudden she stopped playing so I looked up from my set and there was a fricking crack head In our house just standing there listening to us. Freaked us out, she flipped out on him. lol. Alot of things went missing while we lived there though..
