I understand we will never be as consistently good as Georgia, bama, lsu, etc. in football

But why are we consistently worse than Missouri? If you look at their recruiting rankings you can’t throw out the old line of them just being more talented. Same to be said with both Mississippi schools the last 10 years. Is it too much to ask for us to be able to compete with them?

The game actually means something to them while for Arkansas it's the last game of the regular season.

well then that’s a pretty shitty coaching job by the guys on the hill to not get our guys up enough to win. That goes for any game on the schedule

Works both ways, Arkansas was in Mizzou's shoes with LSU to end the year.

How many of those games did Arkansas win or were within a score of winning when they had no business being in the game on paper?

Well honestly I just don’t believe that’s the reason we lose to Missouri. That shite is great for the rant and all but in reality football players don’t decide, “ya know what? I think I’ll try to win this game, but next week I’ll probably only give half as much effort because I don’t care if we win or lose.” They go into every game with a similar mindset. Nobody wants to lose, so this idea that it just means more to this team or that day is just bullshite. Especially considering the majority of kids on the roster aren’t even from Arkansas, and out of those that are, only a few were probably die hard Razorback fans as children. And the same can be said for almost every major program. Bryce young didn’t have a winning record against auburn because he learned to care about the iron bowl. He had a winning record against them because he, his coach, and his team were really fricking talented and executed well. The reason we lost to Missouri more times than not is because we were out coached on the field, or the players had completely let go of the rope in a lost season, and they realized it by the last week. Now I do believe that can happen where players stop giving a shite which will give an advantage to whoever you play rivalry week.

We’ve been worse than a lot of teams that we have more “paper talent” than. Not just Missouri.

Last year in particular they won 11 games and they’ve also won the division a couple of times since joining so I think overall they’ve just been a better program in that stretch. It’s not just us they’re beating to win those.

There's a few outliers like Bielema's record against Freeze and Pittman's record against Kiffin & Leach, but hard to argue Arkansas has had the better head coach in any of these matchups.

Missouri:

Pinkel > Bielema
Odom > Morris
Drink > Pittman

Ole Miss:

Freeze > Bielema
Luke > Morris
Kiffin > Pittman

Miss. State:

Mullen > Bielema
Moorhead > Morris
Leach > Pittman

Overall yes, in head to head shockingly no.
