nice research.

looks like we try to start out running the ball and passing only when needed. but as our defense lets the other team score and we fall further and further behind in the score, we are forced to pass more and more as the game goes along. getting away from what we would ideally like to do. leading to some of the hatred for our play calling. it's a vicious cycle.

our defense doesn't have the talent needed right now to run the offense bielema prefers

i don't think it's necessarily that we "ideally" want to run all the time and only pass as needed. i think we run so much in the first quarter because our pass offense SUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS.

add to that the fact our defense also kinda sucks (I'm being generous here), and we run lot early to try to keep the other team's offense off the field.

from there, we're screwed and playing catch-up
