These are good replies everyone.
I tend to agree on the recruiting. I did not used to get worked up over our poor efforts in that area but it is time to step it up.

I was pretty fricking miserable saturday. The fact that I have a lot of FB friends that are longhorn fans posting on my wall and blowing up my phone made me want to punch every damn one many times over. Sunday I was over it until my bench RB's on my FF team earned me way more points than my starters, thus causing me to lose. Went to sleep pissed off at that hogs again b/c of that. makes no sense. i know. i'm a woman, though.
Woke up fine. This season is shite. It is what it is. We had no depth before BB came in. It's crazy to expect him to turn water into wine especially when his philosophy is SO different. Just hanging my hopes on him recruiting well for his system and building well.
I really really really want to beat Auburn, though. That's the only game left other than moo state that I will have hopes for.

Honestly, I do not mind losing to either. But, I do want to see improvement and fight on this team. It seemed like with A&M we had something. Did we, or do they just suck that bad in certain areas?

Malzahn is going to make us like it I'm afraid

I think it's both. It just seemed like a VERY different dynamic and team out there than the one that played tamu.

I've decided to start rooting for whichever NFL team is hot each week so if I have a bad Saturday it'll get a bit better on Sunday.

The offense was only on the field for 16 minutes give or take a few seconds for the entire game.
That is putting the thinnest unit on the field for 3 quarters basically, the performance would be expected.
What we have to do is do everything possible to keep the defense off the field for as long as possible, too thin on depth, lacking to much talent to do other wise.
The three and outs are killing the team. We need to run the ball, run the ball, then run the ball. I don't care if how many passing attempts we have, hit the middle, hit the edges, misdirect them with the running game, set up a screen game, and shallow crossing patterns, put your QB in a position to succeed instead of a position to fail.
I watched a few of Tennessee's games over the past couple of years, I remember Brees at Purdue, with Tennessee I thought they were passing because that is all they could do, gave them the best chance of winning, now I'm not so sure as I have a better feel of what is available on a roster on that side of the ball...

You are not allowed to root for the Chiefs. I have been suffering through their dogshit teams my entire life and bandwagon jumpers are not allowed.

We have 3 winnable games coming up, Ole Miss, Miss State and Auburn.
I expect us to win against State and I think we'll take one of two against the others.
6-6 would have happened if BA had been healthy for the Rutgers game.
It's not like this isn't going EXACTLY how we expected it. Our WR's are shite, we're not using the TE enough yet but our running game is excellent. We're also giving two true freshmen linemen valuable experience. We're the YOUNGEST team in the SEC. I think you guys are overreacting on Brandon Allen. Remember Clint Stoerner early in his career?
We were in the game against A&M. We got fricked against Florida and as young teams often do, it affected us. We got hammered this past weekend because South Carolina played a perfect game and we did not.

That dude is doing something screwy. I don't care what anyone says.
It's called working one's butt off. This article explains a lot:

If something else is going on in the shadows, there's no hard evidence. But I think some of the screwy stuff goes on pretty much everywhere to some extent.

I just find it hard that you can go from winning 1 SEC game to top recruiting class in the country with out some shenanigans

It was worse than that. It was 1 SEC win over the last 2 years of Hootie.
And I know how that happened. At least we know Hootie wasn't cheating.

I agree with the positives, but as critical as I've been, it's too early to dwell on negatives. In fact, I consider the first year of any head coach a wash, because they're often doing all sorts of things they wouldn't normally do.
Our offense may be an example of this. I don't know what we're trying to do offensively, because little of it makes sense to me. However, I also know that Bielema has a good reputation for running the ball and that Chaney has a good reputation for putting points on the board, so I'm expecting much improvement on offense.
I'm not very pleased with what I've seen thus far, but I am willing to give our coaches the time they deserve. Three or four years from now, we may be laughing at this conversation, after winning our first SEC championship and it probably wouldn't be much different then how many Alabama fans felt after Saban lost to ULM in his first year.
