He is in favor of American industry and workers!
no doubt. If he's in charge he would like to increase both.
quote:
He employs foreign laborers and chooses to use cheap Chinese steel in his projects.
well yea, with the leadership we have now they're both cheaper and he's able to so why not. business is about making money, not spending more than you have to just because of principle.
quote:
He will build a wall against illegal immigrants!
border patrol is fully behind this. no border = no country
quote:
He will employ them, and in the case of his wife who worked here without a work visa, marry them.
again, he's able to so why not take advantage of a broken system. he knows the loopholes in the system seems like a good candidate to fix them
quote:
He claims that vaccines cause children to develop autism!
He will remain silent over the fact that modern medicine has proven that wrong in thousands of studies.
gonna need a link to both him saying it and remaining silent when questioned
quote:
He claims that reports he has groped women without their consent have been proven false!
most if not all of those have been proven false
but even if all that was 100% true, if you believe that is worse than the shite Hillary is involved in I can't help you. again here are the 300+ important specific stuff emails. not to mention her ties to spirit cooking and pedophilia

I've watched several of Trump's speeches.
He talks about taking our country back from the globalists. He talks about putting American interests first.
He talks about securing our borders.
I haven't heard a candidate so consistently anti-globalist/pro-American in my lifetime.
You're upset because he's said a few brash things now and then? He isn't a politician. Pro-tip. No politician is going to change things in Washington.
He's done like a dozen rallies in the past 36 hours. He's working his arse off. He has always worked his arse off. He'll do that as President, and I felt better about voting for Trump than I have any other presidential candidate, ever.
The media whores hate his guts. Is that why you don't like him?
You might want to cash out your portfolio if anyone ever tries to "take back from those scary scary globalists..." So I hope it's grown to the point you're happy with.
I don't know what college you went to, but how could isolating an economy and forcing wage bounds and cost bounds help the markets? You're artificially reducing the potential revenue streams and increasing costs which leads directly to market downturn and wage depression.
If you're worried about your t-shirt making job being off-shored to Southeast Asia, then I suggest you use your saved wages to go get a degree and become part of the forces that are making money hand over fist.
You realize that people who actually create jobs, wealth, and make money aren't calling for tariffs and isolationism. Do you ever wonder why that is? I mean, the 2003 Steel Tariffs are very very recent memory, how can you already forget the negative impact that had?

God your posts betray a person who gets every opinion from CNN....SAD!
That worked on you, didn't it? One "lawsuit" has already collapsed because it was a total fabrication. Gloria Alred is just another disgusting Marxist, doing what she can for The Party. CNN fed Hillary questions prior to her debates (proof exists) and also asked the DNC for questions to ask the GOP primary candidates. ANYTHING from them can be assumed at a minimum to be heavily biased, if not an outright hoax.
Go on and live in that world. Someday you'll wake up, if someone force-feeds you a red pill, I guess.

People making money on Wall St "hand over fist" doesn't mean our nation is in good shape.
ETA: Nice assumptions, btw. Jeez...

I voted for Johnson. Cannot vote for either main party candidate and feel good about myself.
Regarding NAFTA, I would be 100% on board if there was a mechanism to increase Mexico's minimum wage up to our level. Not overnight, but over a decade or so to ease it up. As long as their minimum wage is straight up dog food and cardboard shanty level pay, it's just corporate welfare for American companies to move manufacturing across the border.

People making money on Wall St "hand over fist" doesn't mean our nation is in good shape.
So you'll admit that your portfolio would take a large hit if you increase costs across the supply chain, increase the price of goods to the consumer, while simultaneously depressing wages of American consumers in order to bring supply price down to meet demand price.
Everyone complains about the loss of jobs making t-shirts to places like Vietnam and Indonesia, and yet they don't complain about the increase of jobs in the shipping and port industry to handle the larger amount of goods going in and out of the country.
People complain about their automotive transfer case being manufactured in China while chassis assembly happens in Mexico. But they don't complain about the supply chain decrease in cost by manufacturing close to the source of the resources that results in an overall cheaper and higher quality transfer case.
Manufacturing economies are a transitional stage. Do you really want your wages and employment status beholden to every hiccup in the economy? Guess who was hurt by the 2008/2009 financial crisis more, China or the United States. China's economy was based on approximately 40% manufacturing exports. The United States was at about 8%. That bust sent China scrambling to attempt to create a consumer economy modeled after the United States. As they attempt to build a "middle class" many of the manufacturing jobs are moving in to regional neighbors. This is a lot of the source of tensions in the South China Seas.
This is a far more complex issue than people like to discuss. And the answer isn't "Close the doors and raise admission price". Especially when there are major regional powers just itching for an opportunity to move in the door. China's symbiotic trade relationship with the United States, if supplanted, could be replaced by an emerging India combined with a resource-rich Russia. So while wages drop and costs rise in the United States, the opposite would be happening in 3 of the largest, most populous nations as they begin to break through economic barriers that the United States' global reach previously held in place.
But go ahead, bring back hat manufacturing. I always assumed Trump's campaign was a farce based on the hat alone. "I found the only American hat company I could." And look at the $25 crappy product he passes off compared to the $25 New Era hats manufactured overseas. It's a perfect example.

Regarding NAFTA...
As an aside, I also early voted and voted for Johnson.
But NAFTA is a funny subject as well. Did you know that American manufacturing output has more than doubled since NAFTA went in to effect? Most economists agree that the jobs "lost" to Mexico, were jobs that would be lost to any offshore production. The difference is, the transportation costs on the goods coming back are now cheaper than large container ships across the Pacific. So while those jobs would have been lost, the goods are even cheaper than if they had been lost to South East Asia.
But continuing on the NAFTA/manufacturing job loss discussion, even though we produce more through manufacturing than we have at any other point in our nation's history, we use far fewer workers to do so. Automation and modern assembly line tech makes it far easier and cheaper to produce high quality goods with fewer workers on the line.
Without NAFTA and other scary "globalist policies" you would still have manufacturing jobs dipping as they are replaced by robots.
The only thing that would save them would be unions... oops, that's a bad word too. And in this instance I agree that it is. We have seen what happens when a union forces a company to keep a worker on to "watch" the robot that replaced him on the assembly line. Now you're using a robot which is better than the worker and having to pay the worker thanks to the union.
