I normally get along pretty well with the Law Boys, but this time we just didn't gee and haw.

Damn Missy. Ever thought it might be you? You make it sound as though you're a regular Danica Patrick on the Freeways.

me too, me too.

times were different back in my day- that's not an excuse for me being a dumbass but consider i could pull up to a liquor store at the age of 16 and buy booze. by the time i was 20 the abc had seriously cracked down and then i had to get someone to buy for me.

Well, yeah, I know. I never said I wasn't guilty of speeding. It's just that the Arky troopers are all hard assed about it. (PARTICULARLY the ones in SEARK.)

Lucky you weren't stopped in Lake Providence. I would charitably refer to such a place as a speed trap.

That stretch before Transylvania is a bad one too.

The number of speed traps along Highway 65 south of Lake Village is why we started cutting over to Mississippi and going down that way. Combine a flat road, no traffic and a radar detector (just in case) and we save quite a bit of time. We can make it from NOLA to LR in under 6 1/2 hours (we've gotten close to 6 hours, but haven't quite made it, officially).

They need to put a bypass around that whole area to the Gulf of Mexico.

No, y'all are fine down South. Duck Dynasty Land is good by me too. Just need a good way around that extreme NE corner.

I guess if you get that new alligator boat and would be so kind as to leave it near Lake Village I could get aboard there and then I could float on down to around Vicksburg before resuming my journey.

Seriously tho, might be the age difference. Old troopers in AR never gave me a ticket and I have hit 120 or so back in the day. Never drank and drove nor have I been a big speeder on back roads where visibility and conditions make it less safe to speed. Back then a quick wit and a good sense of humor went a long way. When in doubt tho, having a box of doughnuts in the car never hurts.

while I tend to not share most of the same opinions and sentiments of any trooper, irregardless of color of "patrol unit", shape of state on side of said "patrol unit" or political and state sport affiliations,,,,,,they seem to feel the same about me..
this is the part that puzzles me,,, WHY? imma purty nice feller.
