Any update on the kid? I want him to sit out and stay with his family. This is a traumatic event for anyone (regardless of age). I know coach left the decision up to him, I just hope he has the presence of mind to make the right decision for himself and his family (even if it is playing)

I'm sure the decision wasn't made lightly. Thanks for the update

He is supposed to be back this evening or Friday early. What a weight to be carrying around.

Hate it...

ESPN also covered it in this video. The interview is great all around.

Yes? You appear to be asking me if I would choose to not be petty and allow him to speak to his team one last time for some closure and to clear the air a bit. What's really the downside of that? Is that actually what happened? Did he want to speak to the team and was told that he couldn't, or did he just leave with some notes because that was the easier, more comfortable thing to do? I'm pretty sure the choice was his if he wanted to do so, he just didn't.

There is an interview with a Baseball Agent who from a phone call, got involved in the whole Petrino mess. And that is exactly what was told.

Petrino went to Blank twice to beg to go.. Especially with all of the stuff happening with vick, his family was absolutely miserable and wanted out of Atlanta, etc.

Blank first told him he could leave, then after meeting with attorneys, and leage/team officials... Said, NOTTA... And no speaking to anyone about this..
