Memphis would only have to pay a million dollar buyout, and Mike has to know his seat is warming up.

Does "Suit Case" Mike, pack his shite and head east?

That would make a lot of people pretty damn happy. I'm personally on the fence about it, being admittedly kind of a fair weather basketball fan.

I do feel like, as far as college ball goes, Arkansas is sort of his home, so I want him to succeed just because I know his heart is in it and it's likely more than just a job to him. He had some pretty horrid roster luck this year, but that was exacerbated by the fact that he did such a shite job in recruiting.

I'm cool with him having another year, but my faith that he's a great coach has taken a serious hit. I just think that if he can get Missouri and UAB deep into the tourney with regular appearances, surely he can do the same at Arkansas, but we can only be expected to have so much patience.

Memphis will hire Todd Day and call it a day

It is funny to listen to the stupidity though. Geoff Calkins said he was told Marshall was intrigued by the Memphis job. One heck of a pipe dream there.

You don't think his heart is in it? I'll give him at least THAT much, even if he isn't doing a great job.

I'm saying my heart would be in it if you hired me

Not exactly a qualification I care about

Yeah, you'd think more people would see it that way. I'm not saying it's a qualification, but seeing as he served here for 17 years under Nolan and won a NC with him, he knows this place can be a destination job. With the level of comfort and connection he has, surely this must be a dream job.

Well, maybe that level of comfort is the problem, huh?

If Mike Anderson and Fred Hoiberg both flame out next season that could be a real possibility depending on our roster.

Yea, but it's a bit of a Catch 22.

Memphis is a better job than Arkansas now, but as soon as MA got hired by Memphis, Arkansas would become the better job.

Million dollar buyout? lol

That's not the obstacle to the deal.

The obstacle is that Memphis would have Mike Anderson as their head coach. That is the bigger obstacle to that deal ever happening.

Dream on Hog fans.

What? There are many words to describe MA's tournament appearances in his coaching tenure. Regular is not one of them.
