genetic mutations from the elk herd. The initial animals had the dna markers for it and over time and a few reproduction cycles it appeared and went undetected for who knows how many years.

This.

The elk herd brought in came from Nebraska and Colorado, first states to have CWD. The AGFC keep blaming the public, but there will be lawsuits for their role in introducing the non-native elk into our state.

AGFC believe CWD has been in the deer herd in the containment zone for over a decade.

One has to ask how did it take so long for a confirmed case to be identified.

It's down to 23% of the samples tested coming back positive, but there is high prevalence of CWD in foals that were culled and tested.

Gonna be interesting to see what they come up with in May for this coming fall hunt.

confirmed specimen in Madison and Pope counties.

This shite has been here for a long time. Incompetency within a state department of Arkansas isn't something new. Little Rock get your shite together.

The AGFC has released their list of proposals. They include the ban of year long feeding. Limiting baiting to 10/1-12/31 state wide. Increase in antlerless bag limits in CWD zones. Eliminating the 3 point rule in CWD zones. Allowing button bucks to be checked as doe in CWD zones. Banning the possession and use of scents containing deer urine.

The vote for approval will be held June 24th.
