Comparing Nolan and Mike's rosters

Nolan's recruits:
Todd Day
Lee Mayberry
Oliver Miller
Lenzie Howell
Ron Huery
Arlyn Bowers
Mario Credit
Darrell Hawkins
Ernie Murray
Warren Linn
Cannon Whitby
Shawn Davis
Larry Marks
Mike's recruits:
Jimmy Whitt
Anton Beard
Moses Kingsley
Anthlon Bell
Trey Thompson
Jabril Durham
Dusty Hannahs
Willy Kouassi
Keaton Miles
Jake Mosiman
DeShawn Stark
Lorenzo Jenkins
We all know that recruiting has very little impact on wins and losses in college basketball from reading posts from Dale, Stone, and Hawgfanatic, and a couple others on here.
So completely hypothetically, if recruiting did have some influence over this season's success or lack thereof,
Which of these teams do you think has a better chance of winning the most games?
And even though it doesn't matter, which of these two coaches do you think struggles with his recruiting?

I think it's so uncanny how the two coaches win/loss records are so even through the first four years and then you look at their rosters going into year five and the talent level looks almost identical.

I agree, fact of the matter is that NOBODY has the slightest clue how this season is gonna go. Hell, I don't think CMA has the slightest idea at this point. He probably doesn't even have the slightest idea who his starting 5 will be.
CMA has worked some miracles with depleted rosters before, and the guy has never had a losing season for shits sake. We might all be surprised.

Think about this team in the '96-98 time frame
Frank's buddy doesn't get the basketball team unjustly hammered and the all time leading HS scorers in Cali and TX hoops history at the time actually pan out.
You have Kareem Reid at point. Glendon Alexander at 2/3. Pat Bradley stroking it from deep. Derek Hood and Nicky Davis cleaning boards and Darnell Robinson putting 20 and 10 up a night.
Then role players would be Ali Thompson, Antwan Hall, Lee Wilson, Tarik Wallace, Landis Williams.
Oh and add Jesse Pate who could go for 30 any given night and Sunday Adebayo filling in minutes and playing tough D.
That team wins a title.

We have who we have. It looks like a very bare season this year to be honest. Lets see how MA delivers down the stretch. If he doesn't... fire him.

I thought the knock on Hogville around here was that the mods influenced posters to be positive all the time, even when doing so was unrealistic. Basically converting all posters into pom pom girls for the University.

That's a valid point and I knew my post would be somewhat misconstrued as a knock on the team before they even play.
My post is more a knock on the handful of posters on here that refuse to recognize even the slightest failings in this coaching staff through four years.
I'm attempting to make fun of them because they refuse to reason honestly and you know from my playmate profile that dishonesty is my biggest turn off.

Maybe so for their football forum, but jump ball is a shite show that isn't even moderated. Every damn post is bitching about something.
Also I agree Mike does need to get a better recruiter on staff. But the guy is a good coach, that has improved the program every year. But whatever.

I was asking no one to be rosy, I just simply think we've got our hands full with bitching about the football team so why take on more we can handle when the basketball season hasn't even started. Kinda stupid, IMO.

You've posted this before and I kindly corrected you on it, so I'm a little surprised that you posted it again. I don't know if you have me mixed up with another poster or you just think it's funny?
I did get banned from HiV, just like a lot of us refugees did, but it for posting in the Fox News echo chamber they call the political forum.
One of their republican moderators banned me for posting a video that strung together several clips of W attempting to talk. My point was that he was not a very good leader if he wasn't a very good speaker.
I was notorious over there for supporting Obama. You know, the black president.

Yea, you got me there.
Nothing could be more made up than posting a team's roster.
Plus that Nolan team that made the final four consists of mostly juniors and seniors that would already be in the NBA in today's times.
