Make sure you watch hte trailer at the bottom. Holy *** !!
A buddy of mine here at work just told me that his old boss in Houston was a colonel in the airforce and worked in the strategic nuclear missile wing or whatever. He was here in Ark based at the airbase when this happened. He said the missile actually popped out of the silo
• Eric Schlosser, an investigative journalist, is the author of Command and Control, which was made into a documentary
• On September 18, 1980, technicians at Titan II missile silo in Damascus, Arkansas, were trying to replace a socket on a missile
• When the socket fell down a 70-foot shaft, it punctured the missile's tank, causing a leakage of chemicals
• A fire ensued, but, by a stroke of luck, there was no explosion that would have laid waste to much of the state

Actually, there was an explosion. The entire rocket exploded in it's silo blowing the 740 ton launch doors 200 feet into the air and depositing the nuclear warhead onto the surface 100 feet from the silo.
Those warheads will not detonate due to fire or even premature explosion of the rocket system carrying it.
It wasn't a stroke of luck.

I don't think people realize how many safeguards are in place for nuclear weapons and energy, particularly here in the United States.
I mean in the entire history of mankind, fewer people have been killed by nuclear accidents and deliberate nuclear attacks than die annually from air pollution.
