Yeah, they are convinced it is because they have an all-star staff and coach coming.
Will read that board daily when it is not the the case, when Alvarez decides to come out of retirement and once again coach the Badgers for a modest 4mil a year on top of his AD salary...

Most people don't realize how profitable SEC programs are. They imagine that resources that would otherwise be used for academics are diverted to football. This includes a lot of people in Fayetteville who are stubbornly anti-football. They are a minority, but they include otherwise smart people, some of whom are professors (but not business professors--big surprise there).

In this context the SEC is killing it on the academics by being smart enough to invest big $ in the biggest and best promotional tools universities have, their athletic programs (specifically football). Wisky and the B1G 10 aren't using them book smarts to understand the upward pressure on the payscale of assistant coaches. The velocity of income for major D1 football is reperesented in a microcosm of how fast and how high the pay scales are rocketing for support staff and assistant coaches.
