I know most will just go to the recrootin rankins to try to prove or disprove talent disparities, which if you want to look at it that way, Ohio St, Penn St, and Michigan are consistently in the top 15 while Wisconsin, Michigan St., etc were all outside the top 30.

That is a much bigger gap than in the SEC where fans are trying to say there is a definite difference between the top 25 classes. You could likely rank the top 10 and 10-25/30 in any order you want and justify it, I think the reason why you was Wisky and Michigan St. competing when on paper they should not is because of reasons the recrooting rankins can not rank or do not take into account;

Team Needs
Player Development.

We are actually getting players in state to walk on without giving them schollys like Nutt and Petrino were doing for the same caliber players.

Bert may fail here, but the program will be better than he found it for the next guy, what kind of price tag do you put on that when paying a HC's salary?

I think of it in selfish terms. What makes me enjoy watching our team play? For me, it's seeing improvement, growth, and development. It's watching the process of building/maintaining a program unfold. It's watching how or coaches use the players they've recruited to win games, or put themselves in the best possible position to win games. It's witnessing how those players develop as people while they're in the program and students at UA.

Based on the things I value, I think Bert is worth every penny.

Same reason we gave Sumlin the money.

Yeah, I would also add it isn't really asking too much for HCs to not bring in players that embarrass the programs and University off the fields of play.

Outside of DVH's players shoplifting and driving drunk, we haven't had any issues under the current HCs.

Our buyout is extremely high, his.. not so much. 15, 4 million 16, 3 million 17 2 million 18 1 million He wants an NFL / Optional gig if available or this would be higher imho! I think we needed to raise this as well!

His buyout is more concerning, meaning only 4,3,2,1,500k in order if he wants to go. I can see an NFL team forking over 2 or more perhaps.

Either way, he is here a while, and I am definitely on board with that!

He'll have multiple new contracts between now and then if he's here that long. If he improves he'll get raises/higher buyouts. If he doesn't then he'll get fired of leave. I'm not worried.
