Portland Sea Dogs, it's the fastest a player has been promoted from draft to AA in the Red Sox system since Pedroia. They generally bring their prospects along very, very slowly...kond of hard to ignore .351 BA and .420 on base.

Came here to post that. Looks like yall are on top of it.

The Red Sox have promoted OF prospect Andrew Benintendi to Double-A Portland.
At the time of his call-up, Benintendi was second in the Carolina League with 32 RBI and fourth in batting average (.341). The 21-year-old has done nothing but hit since joining the Red Sox organization as a first-round pick in 2015. In 88 minor league appearances he's hit .324 with 18 steals and a .559 slugging percentage. Benintendi is MLB.com's 22nd-ranked prospect.

Jalen Beeks won't be too far behind him. He's having a pretty good year too.

This is where we see what he is made of. It's the hardest jump in baseball apart from the show. AA is a different world compared to A ball. Make us proud Benni

I was hoping to see him when he was with the Greenville Drive, but I'm glad he is doing well. We went to a Drive game last night and had a good time. Towards the end of the game, I heard a voice behind me say "West Memphis, Arkansas" and she ended up being from Memphis. I grew up in Marion so it was cool to talk with someone in South Carolina about home.
