And I just looked at the Arkansas roster Drewbie...only four of the kids are from Texarkana. Five from Magnolia. Smackover, Taylor, Haratio, Ashdown, Gurdon, Nashville, and Junction City also have kids on the roster.
If they're not some type of all star team, it may be a recruited type team they put together for the tournament? Dunno.

Lets be honest, most players playing American Legion aren't going to be great college baseball players. American legion was done in the mid to late 90's.

And pigfeet, this squad has 7 college ball players on it. 4 of them play at SAU, one of the better D2 programs around.

Some of these kids are between their junior and senior years in high school. Playing Legion ball is still playing pretty good ball, especially at this level in the World Series.

This is where I humblebrag about being on the only Jacksonville, AR Legion team to ever win a game at state and we beat Texarkana to get to the state finals only to get railed by Jonesboro.
Happy for the boys. Texarkana's Legion team is a great program.
