Paleo diet is by far the best...and portion control.

Midway through week 3 of Insanity.

With the holiday and increased hunger, gaining a little weight. Still working out.

Don't quit...sometimes it takes a month or so before you start seeing the loss. Your muscles freak out so to speak and retain water to repair. Measure inches, not by scale.

ETA: I'm definitely no expert but this is what I hear.

I had to dig for this thread. School, sick kids/pregnant wife crushed my spirit. But I hope to reestablish a fitness regimen while between semesters. I'm at the in-laws, but I was able to get in some push-ups and ab work. Geez, I'm out of shape.

right there with ya ray. the last 3 weeks have been HELL on me with work travel, kid stuff, and a few other things. I feel like crap! It's ridiculous how years of hard work can start to unravel in just a few weeks.

My quads look smaller to me as well as my tricpes. NOT happy about that.

Try being old and out of shape.....

I'm still kicking it with Insanity, this is the slow down week between the first 4 weeks and the final 4 weeks which have longer workouts. But, since the Alabama game I've gained 15 lbs. Hovering at 263 lbs and am not dropping it. The key is diet which I'll revamp in January. I've had a diet plan made for me and I'll implement it.

i'm going to do a quick 1.5 mile run tonight and IF my gym is open tomorrow I am for sure doing legs. If it's closed I have enough dumbells and a barbell adn bench at home to do some upper body work.

It's the Bert Way. I'd buy his book.

I passed my NASM personal training test this morning .So I'm now a certified personal trainer.

Plan on getting hired on by one of the gyms around here and manage my rental properties while I'm going to school for physical therapy.

Well done.

I burned some calories splitting and hauling wood for 2+ hours today.

After a long hiatus away from working out, I started going back to the gym last month. I think I've hit that age where you need that extra day a week to recover.
