As we saw with Jaxson Robinson it's very hard for those who go early to college to actually play well.

It typically takes a couple years. Robinson left HS early to TAMU then to ARK then finally some success at BYU.

How the hell did Rutgers manage to get the #2 and #3 ranked recruits?

Five-star point guard Boogie Fland will begin his official visit to Arkansas on Wednesday evening. Sources indicate that the trip is the only visit on Fland’s tentative schedule for the time being, which should be encouraging for Razorback fans.

The same sources close to Fland indicate that the New York-born star could decide to schedule additional visits in the wake of his trip to Fayetteville should he not feel compelled to pull the trigger right away. Fland was committed to John Calipari when the legendary head coach was at Kentucky, but also has a strong relationship with former UK assistant Orlando Antigua, who did not follow Calipari to Arkansas and instead landed at Illinois. Because of that fact, the Illini could find themselves in the mix if things fall apart between the Fland and the Razorbacks following the upcoming campus visit. Louisville has also been aggressively pursuing Fland, but he has not decided to schedule a visit as of this moment.

That said, everything about the situation suggests that if things go as planned on Fland’s upcoming trip to Fayetteville, his second recruitment could meet a swift end. If not, things could get more interesting. Razorbacks fans should be optimistic, however.

I mean im ok not giving a 16yr old post player million or more to hope he can give us 15 min a game for his first year.

He would get ate up in the SEC his first year.

I dont care how good he is.

Five-star Jason Crowe hopes to hear from UK, Arkansas, Duke

quote:

The most prolific sorcerer in the class of 2026, Jason Crowe Jr., has earned his five-star ranking though a wide-ranging skills set that includes nearly unlimited range. The 6-foot-3 guard is one of the youngest members of the class and spent his sophomore season posting 40- and 50-point games for Lynwood (Calif.) High School.

Once the contact period gets under way on June 15, Crowe will turn his attention, in part, to college recruiting and sifting through the numerous options he’s sure to acquire. The overseas professional route will also be in play for the California-based star.

Rivals recently caught up with Crowe to discuss everything related to his process as well as what the future may hold for his career.

ON THE COACHING CHANGE AT KENTUCKY:

“I was pretty surprised by it, but they ended up getting a great coach. He has great experience and I trust Kentucky. I trust them to do what’s right for their culture and their coaching situation. Replacing (John) Calipari is kind of tough, though, because there’s nobody better than Calipari.”

ON IF HE HOPES TO HEAR FROM CALIPARI AND ARKANSAS ON JUNE 15:

“I hope he reaches out for sure. I’d be grateful if Calipari liked my game enough to offer me. I feel like I fit in with the guards he’s produced.”

5-star SF Will Riley names top 5 options

quote:

Will Riley, one of the top prospects in the 2025 class, has trimmed his list to five options, he told On3. Moving forward, the 6-foot-8 small forward out of The Phelps School (PA) will consider four schools — Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, and Kentucky to go along with a professional route — the NBL.

Previously, Riley considered Duke, Michigan, UCLA, and Villanova but now those four schools have been trimmed from his list.

To this point, On3’s No. 11 overall prospect has only taken a single official visit — Arizona. He says he’s planning to take trips to Alabama and Kentucky in the near future.

Riley breaks down his finalists
Kentucky: “Great program, great coaches and I can learn a lot.”

Alabama: “They fit my play style and have a great coach.”

Arizona: “Loved my visit and love the environment.”

NBL: “They do great with next stars and great opportunities.”

Arkansas: “Great coach, and very good opportunity.”

What he’s is looking for in a school
“For me, it is going to come down to which situation I like the most,” he told On3’s Jamie Shaw in a previous interview. “When I go on my visits, I’m going to take in the people that are around me, the culture of the program, the coaches. I’ll look if it fits my play style and all that.

“I’m going to be looking for a team that plays me the way that I play. I don’t want to go somewhere that is going to stick me on the block, because of my height. I’m OK playing in the post a little bit, but I’m at my best with the ball in my hands, playing in ball screens, and creating and shooting.”
