Another thing to like about PItt...

Some of us remember how HDN would offer scholarships to everyone. It was so bad that the NCAA made a new rule to put a stop to it. I know that the University spoke to Nutt during the hiring process. And I'm curious if something was mentioned about how we could get these kids from Arkansas who want to be Hogs a shot. I say this bc Pitt mentioned having a recruiter in every part of the state.

Arkansas schools don't have the facilities to develop what little talent that is here. So if we had a really good walk on program akin to what Osborne had at Nebraska we could find those few gems and develop them. And we do that by having eyes on the ground in every part of the state.

Its not the same as throwing scholarships at everyone. But it is a nice way around the rule. And I really do think that kids from Arkansas will have more pride and play harder even though they might not have the God given talent. By the time some of these kids are juniors and seniors they will be able to contribute. And Arkansas needs all the help it can get.

So here is another reason I think Pitt will do well at Arkansas. Finding ways to get under-developed talent in the state developed and on the field.
