Things I noticed from the game:
1. Moses Kingsley was ineffective in the paint. He did manage to pull down a double double, but he just seemed to struggle against TAMU's size and length. If his jumper had been falling, we would have blown them out since they would have had to come out and defend the mid range, which would have opened up the lane and the baseline to a lot more cutting.
2. TAMU is BIG. Thank goodness our shots were falling, because TAMU seemed to have the rim on lock. We had more success penetrating in the second half, which was good.
3. TAMU was unimpressive on the boards, and we were pretty good. Our guards were really good at rebounding last night.
4. TAMU's starters are solid. They just don't have a bench.
5. Our defense is improving. It isn't the 40 Minutes of Hell of old, but we've gone from a good offensive team that doesn't guard to a good offensive team that occasionally guards. All kidding aside, I'm happy with the improvement.
6. I was impressed every time the team responded to a TAMU run. They made a couple of runs to cut into the deficit, but each time the Hogs responded well. If the game is on the line, I want the ball in Macon's or Barford's hands. Beard is legit too, and if Hannahs is open, then I trust he will hit that shot.
7. Trey Thompson is going to be good if he continues to progress at this rate. I honestly felt more comfortable with him and the other bigs in there than I did with Moses.

Good points.
It was a fun game. It was just two points I know and he was no where near player of the game or even one of the top 5 players of the game but the fake to Dusty right before halftime by Thomas was so badass. That might be my fave play of the year so far.

Dustin Thomas and Trey are the biggest improvers this month, imo. Everyone is playing better, especially Barford, but im getting less and less frustrated with Dustin. Hes still not great by any means, but hes not a huge liability anymore.
Maybe Cook stealing his mins lit him up, maybe the zone suits his game better, not sure.

You know it is a little funny. I wasn't too excited when at some point in the 1st half the line up was 1. Beard 2. Macon 3. Watkins 4. Thomas (I think) 5. Thompson
I was thinking we were going to have a hard time scoring with that line up, seems like most times we have two of the following three: Macon, Barford and Hannahs. To my surprise they created quite a spark. As other has stated Thompson's passing was a big reason for that.

Wish Beard would shoot a little more

Don't disagree although I like what he is doing atm. With this team we really need him to be a drive and dish guy. I really feel we need to have either Beard or Barford on the court at almost all times. I believe they are our most consistent drivers and we really need that at times when our shots aren't falling.

Someone else who hardly gets any accolades is Manny. He can play like a bull in a china cabinet at times but he's always got energy and there's been a few come from behind games this season where he's made a big difference. I love his heart.

Yep, he turned from a liability on the offensive side of the ball to an actual threat if you ignore him. Much respect for him and the work he has done.

True. That play faked everyone in the arena out. That was pretty awesome.
I also should have mentioned Watkins. He was pretty effective in the game as well. I was impressed.

I think the team has finally started to believe in one another.
No more hanging their heads when things get tough. Just focus.
Everybody knows their roll for the most part. Fun to watch.

Coach Z on Bo's show today taking about Trey: "the guards love him. He's rhe best screener on the team, he's a great passer, and he hardly ever shoots. Most popular guy on the team. They all want him in the game."
It was pretty classic.
