We wouldn't lose 56-3 and we could win 9-10 games in the regular season with him. Similar to Petrino.

This staff makes me miss Petrino. A lot. I miss winning games we are supposed to win and I miss beating Texas fricking a&m. I miss not falling apart to teams like Missouri. We lost to a really bad 3 win team today. They throttled us in the second half. There is NO excuse for today.

I do love me some Gundy stemming from my interactions with the man and his family.
At this point I'd be surprised if he leaves OSU, he's got another 15 good years in him and I think he's looking at Legacy now.

Arrogant a-hole matters not. Mike Leach is an arrogant a-hole. Gundy is an arrogant a-hole. Petrino is/was an arrogant POS. Good coaches are arrogant assholes. The problem is when you are an arrogant a-hole that is incapable of backing it up and refuse to make changes.

Yep, he would have taken the job.
I think the issue w/ Pickens putting his nose where it really shouldn't be has resolved itself.
Gundy will outlive Pickens and he didn't bow down to the old fricker like everyone else on that campus does so there was friction.
Gundy wants to run his program and refused to let boosters run it. I think they've all learned to co-exist and the boundaries have been redefined to where all can live fairly happy with the situation. A Bedlam win puts him in a spot to where he can point to a pretty long run of 9-10 win seasons and challenging for titles and he can last there another 10 years easy.

Actually not many people in Austin give a shite about UT football. It's a weird dynamic. Out in the sticks they do though.
