Central Texas Style BBQ in Pearland is legit though! Double up on the side of turnip greens cause they are scrumptious!
Last time I was their the wait to order was about 20 minutes due to the line wrapping around the restaurant. The place is a little smoky from the pits though and after about 5 minutes your eyes begin to burn though.

I had Shorthorn fans in my section also.

They talked shite until the end of the 3rd quarter then most of them quietly exited stage left.
They took the foam fingers that were provided for Hog fans and remodeled them to the middle finger.
What a sweet melt to watch their dreams fade of winning the game.
I returned to my Hotel room to find my Hog Magnets and Flags gone off my truck.
Nice to know we own a spot in their head.

Something else I heard was the SEC manipulated the bowl matchups because Arkansas was the only team in the SEC that had the defense and lines to disrupt Texas.

From a league source, the SEC did manipulate the bowl pairings a bit. Several bowls waited longer than usual for the SEC pairings to be announced. The NCAA website even announced Tenner to the Liberty 30min prior to it changing to TAMU. For some reason,(LOL) the SEC waited until other conferences phoned in their picks to each bowl, then the SEC went. Hmmmm... Wonder why?
this was also told to me by two bowl officials. Something about, winning brings the conference better recruiting, etc. and ESPN likes what was done.

I was lucky enough to land a seat in one of the suites. With the parking pass, I had to walk all of 100 yds to get to my gate. That was sweet.
The suite was occupied by about 18 whorn fans and 5 of us Hog fans. They were fairly nice to me and mostly spoke of how bad the whorns were. So that wasn't too bad.
I thought that not opening the parking lots until 4 was stupid and not opening the gates for the stadium any earlier was ridiculous.
I lived in San Antonio for a cpl of years and already knew that tx bbq sucked. Really anything west of AR, as far as bbq is concerned, just isn't that good. The tex-mex stuff around Houston is great tho.
I had a really great time whipping the whorns like yard dogs, so all in all, it was a great experience.

I, for one, do not care that much for cole slaw. I'll take baked beans and potato salad any day.
But BBQ pork >>>> beef.
edit: brisket is real damn good though. Some places do brisket better than they do pork ribs, and vice versa. I'll go with the house specialty.
