We still control our own destiny in the SEC. We play enough ranked teams to climb out of this hole we dug ourselves in. Yes yesterday was bad, but Auburn doubled us up week 1 of last year too. A few weeks later we were toe to toe with Alabama. Take every week for what it is. We still have time to get our shite together before SEC play and can still make noise. For all we know this could be our Indiana. I'd rather lose in week 2 for a massive wake-up call across the board than lose in week 9. There are things to fix, but we have talked all offseason about how good our staff is. They didn't just randomly forget how to coach. We just aren't mid-season form and it shows. Cut out even a fraction of the self-imposed mistakes yesterday and we're bitching about a close win. I'm not excusing the loss or the piss poor performance given yesterday, but there's still a lot of football left to play and we have our entire SEC schedule left. We're no further away from the SEC West leader than we were last week. Let's take a deep breath and see how our team responds next week before we go full Chicken Little.

We do have time, but I am very curious about the injury reports. If most of our squad's game changers are injured, we might be looking at 2012 all over again.

Any updates on folks?

If it's indeed a wake up call, the fact it came now will be a blessing. Those boys didn't forget how to play football

We'll find out over the next 3-4 weeks what this Staff and Team are made of.

It could go either way but the homer in me thinks we'll still finish about where most of us thought, middle of the pack in the SECW.

Agree but this loss had all the hallmarks of bad coaching.
