Do you ever get tired of your "nothing wrong with being a loser " attitude?

for a team I have no control over, I'll celebrate the wins and always find the silver lining in the losses. glass half full approach makes for a happier life. if others prefer the doom and gloom glass half empty approach that's their prerogative. doesn't make sense to me, but it's their life.

like I said it's amusing to me when people here or fans of other teams over react to a win or loss. but I guess that's part of being a hardcore fan. thankfully I'm not that hardcore. used to be more hardcore, but have since focused more on things I can control. the only control I have over the hogs is if I buy tickets or not. now I just find amusement in others over dramatic reactions.

I would go back a year to 2006 to be able to see and read every little thing unfold...remember the book? Yea, I'd want to see all of that on Twitter.

I'm a very chill, kind, non-confrontational person IRL. That's what's so fun about this board - I can be the biggest over-reacting, trolling, dickhead and lol about it.

same here

just maybe not so much with the over reacting.

I don't let a loss make me violent. It doesn't ruin my entire day. I don't trash things. I don't cry or get into physical confrontation over it. That said, the entire point of following a sports team is to get emotionally invested and feel like you're a part of something great. Or at least something bigger. With that comes elation, frustration, and some slight depression.

My big over reaction has been almost exactly four years in the making. It's mostly message board banter and all I really want to do is move on from a coach who clearly is not going to work out and stop watching Hog football until it's bearable again. I think that's a pretty reasonable reaction and I honestly don't think most of the biggest whiners and fit-throwers on here let it bleed nearly that much into their actual lives.

We will either watch and support this team and this sport, or we won't. If you choose to watch, what's the big deal about voicing your frustration over someone promising great things and then consistently wasting your time?

And my comparison is spot on because of that. It's the attitude in life.

It's funny because when you get outside of the Arkansas bubble, most people in the nation think of us as a small time program that traditionally overachieves.

I love when I spend time in Chicago or California and people say things like "I love watching Arkansas, every time I turn it on you guys are going toe to toe with the big guys." They see us beating or in a close loss to LSU, Auburn, or Alabama and think of us punching above our weight. We see it as time to burn down the program and get the AD and coaches in front of the camera to explain just why they are wasting our time by not winning a national championship every few years.

I don't expect national championships. I expect to not get blown out 4 times in a year with a loss to a 3-8 team. I also don't expect to have one of the worst defenses of the last 15 years.
