might as well have thrown every play Saturday. I've never seen a run game this pitiful. we won't have a single 1000 yard back this year.

The worst part of this was running play action against bama, it was giving them extra time to get to the QB. They weren't worried about us running on them. Enos takes some blame do it, but if there is no push from the O line and no run game quit with the PA.

Pa and run game work both ways actually.

How do you help your run game when it isn't working? By running and successfully completing PA passes. a lot of them. It is like the opposite effect that we usually view the synergy between them. Eventually you lull the defense into thinking every play is just another PA pass until you actually hand the ball off. Then they have actually dropped back in coverage because they do not think you will actually hand the ball off

I do understand your point though. Our opponents can actually kill 2 birds with one stone by blitzing a ton and over whelming our terrible line, and will either hit the rb in the back field, or hit the qb. We need to be running shot gun with hot routes to take advantage of blitzes and get the ball out quickly. Then it would stop the blitz, and we can run the plays like they are intended to be ran.

Probably wont look any better Saturday. Auburn can stop the run too. May as well let Kelley throw 50 times.

Man, that would be a kick in the nuts to Bret's rep on top of our record. He's had at least one 1000 yard rusher every year he's been a head coach.

Bring the 21 personnel grouping on every down use the RB and the FB as 2 extra blockers and let Kelley throw the damn ball.
Only chance we keep it close
