Neighbors is who he is. He showed promise as a coach to start and has rapidly fallen off the pace. Either we need to keep him (and effectively write off WBB) or fire him and upgrade. The in state talent is there to make some noise.

Looks more like our cry baby fans that, after 3 consecutive good years, give up on the supporting the team as soon as we have a bad year.

The team hasn’t given up. They played @ probably the most talented team in the country and hung with them. Are we going to pull off a miracle sec tournament run? Probably not. I’ll watch and see, hope for the best.

Posting that you’re not watching anymore is neither impressive or interesting

This team has gotten beaten by 20+ five times. They give up routinely.

If you want to go down with the ship cool. But lording yourself over those that choose not to watch a dead end season is a level of grandstanding that is just unnecessary. No one's obligated to watch this shite. This entire roster will be different next year. There's nothing to invest in on a yearly basis in the current state of college basketball. It's not some crime against humanity to invest your time in something more worthwhile than this drama filled disaster.

Posting you're still watching every loss is no more impressive or interesting than saying you aren't. The whole argument is stupid.

Straw man. Everyone can choose what they want to do. It’s posting in The Arkansas basketball season thread that you don’t care about the season that is retarded.

It might not be impressive but it makes a hell of a lot more fricking sense to post in The Arkansas basketball season thread

He posted his own personal feelings based on how this season has gone about the most recent game that was played and how they wildly differ from the norm. Seems plenty relevant to the topic to me.

At least he was on topic. All you did was belittle someone.

Huh? Are reading the same thread? That literally didn't happen.

Jesus are you gonna be one of those?

It's pretty easy to not watch this team. I've never disliked a team more than this current one. I literally didn't watch a single second of the game.

NIL and the transfer portal, if it continues unchecked, will seriously diminish the overall product of college football and basketball.
You can laughing emoji all you want but there's more basketball talk in his post than your response. That's why I gave you shite in the first place. It's all hypocrisy stemming from the fact that you just don't like his opinion.

Lots of content about the season and most recent game there. "Didn't watch, team sucks"

Granted the NIL comment was at least something

I responded to two guys in a row saying they didn't watch a second of the game. You said above they're talking about the most recent game. I don't know what you're on about.

Is it? I mean I've said for a while I don't think the team is good. Hardly anyone disagrees with that. I just find it irritating to see how the fanbase basically turned on the team this year. Fed into a bunch of bullshite gay sex rumors started by Mizzou fans. The program just went to two elite 8s and a sweet 16 and it's pathetic to me how the support just completely plummeted. Now two guys in a row talking about how they didn't watch...

Trust me I know it's been a difficult year. I just believe if you're going to enjoy the good times, you still be a fan in bad times. And no, no one has to watch or care. But I have no qualms about calling those out who advertise it in a thread that I would think is intended to be used by people who care about the season.

Don't be one of those that just omits words and reframes shite will ya?

I said they're talking about how they feel based on how the season has gone about the most recent game. Word for word. Those feelings were that it wasn't worth watching.

That pisses you off so you belittled their opinion then tried to take the stance that it's not relevant to the thread, which I believe to be untrue so here we are.

It’s really this simple - I believe a portion of our fanbase is acting whiney counts. Sorry if that belittles you

I'm curious as to why?

This team has next to zero connection to anything that has been done prior to this year. Why are they entitled to the good graces earned by other people? Why should they be rewarded with unyielding support when all reports indicate a team that struggled to buy in, isn't working as diligently as past iterations, has no chemistry, and shows no signs of improvement? Then add on multiple instances of very obvious "let go of the rope" moments throughout the season and I just don't see how it's difficult for anyone to find the logic in why someone wouldn't want to support this year's team.

The identity and how they conduct themselves is night and day different from every other team Eric has had since he arrived. We've supported mediocre to bad teams for years. I don't think that's ultimately the issue. This team just does not display a very likeable personality.

I could understand the loyalty before wild west transfers and NIL, now I have no clue why people are willing to attach themselves to what are ultimately mercenaries like that.

We’ll see how the roster shakes out but I think very few of our players are one-year mercenary types. Davenport and Mark probably. The rest have already been here multiple seasons or I think probably will be here next year.

That’s not really the point though. I think it does damage to the program when the fanbase turns on the team, mercenaries or not.

I don't think complaining about a preseason top 15 team that is absent from every postseason tournament projection at the end of the year is outside the realm of rational behavior.

Absolutely. I’ve complained about it plenty.

What I don’t do is circle jerk about who can be the most miserable and most apathetic about the team. And I don’t regret interrupting that.

I do apologize for the over the top language and don’t have any hard feelings toward anyone

I think that's a bit extreme for two posts saying they didn't watch a game but I get your point. Negativity isn't hard to come by around here nowadays. Unfortunately a lot of it has been well earned.

Hey Bubba….Im not watching because I don’t like watching crappy basketball as opposed to finding something more productive to do. I’m still a fan.

I guess sitting there torturing yourself and yelling at all the stupidity displayed makes you a better fan. Congrats.

Stay blind and blissful my friend.
