ESPN Updated Scouting Report for Reggie Perry from last week:

quote:

Strengths:
Perry is one of the fastest rising prospects in the national class of 2018. He's strong and athletic with a chiseled frame and the ability to elevate through traffic. He is a good finisher who both gets up above the cup with authority as well as he does make tough lay-ups around the rim. He's got a nice natural touch both in the paint and in the mid-range area and shows flashes of being able to extend his range out to the three-point line. He's at his best in the open floor and probably most comfortable at the high post in a half-court game, but even shows some potential putting the ball on the floor for one or two hard bounces. He's a two-hand rebounder in traffic, capable of getting second chance points with either hand offensively and a potentially versatile interior defender.

Weaknesses:
While Perry is rapidly improving, he's still very much a work in progress. His offense game is continuing to evolve and as such still lacks a certain level of polish. He has a wealth of tools but is in the process of turning those into true weapons. Defensively, his combination of physical strength and quick feet is at the highest level but like most young players he doesn't yet maximize his potential on that end of the floor on a consistent basis.

Bottom Line:
Perry is an undeniable talent and a definite riser in the class of 2018. With his powerful frame, mobility, athleticism and consistently developing skill package, his upside is very high as he continues to turn potential into consistent production.

I'm not going to believe it until I see it but Brown might make it now.

Big few days to see who shows up.

I bet we start camp earlier with a Thursday night opening game.

I see that were in the top 6 schools for a right end from Louisiana. What are the chances we snag him?

All eyes on Georgia today and whether we take Geathers (doesn't look likely) and Strickland.

Wren is targeted as OLB and Fulwider at DE.

Luke Jones is the OL target if Strickland goes elsewhere.

Correct and some say the same for Strickland for Jones.

Based of Bielemas tweets about Wren, I would guess that's true.

Also what I've seen as well. What I don't understand is that a few weeks ago it was thought we would take both. Maybe we got good word out of 1 of the higher rates guys we are on?

I don't quite understand it either. Make a strong effort, push to target Georgia and then go to other targets.

I honestly wanted our foot in the door in GA. Now if the other 2 are better players for sure I want them, but it would have been nice to get some traction in the biggest NFL producing state.

Ranked higher than geathers nationally. Plays both lb and wr. He is 6'3.5 and apparently around 216 or something like that. So comparable sizes. Probably faster since he plays wr. Apparently we fell in love with the kid and passed on geathers.

Yeah gotta trust the coaches but when the defense has looked as pitiful as it has the past 2 seasons it's hard to have faith
