So his numbers were better in 1st halves. I like Kody and think he can be our number 2 back just fine. No one wants to tackle 260 pounds 15 times.

thank you sir. you're like a statistics genie. Every off the wall stat i've talked about this offseason you've found the perfect breakdown for.

This does shed some light on Kody Walker for me though. I was definitely wrong about the second half being his shining moments. Although every touchdown he scored was in the second half or OT.

The other thing i'm noticing here is that he only got 90 carries and averaged 4.38 yd/carry. Based on those numbers I still don't think he's the type of guy that can step up and really carry a team for the season. He would do fine in a limited role like he saw this year but I just don't see him becoming a prime time guy.

We need someone else to step up to really have the running game that will be required to take pressure off our new QB.

Along with being a change up back Kody may be best utilized as a FB running threat in the backfield. Towards the end of the season we had some success with him and AC being on the field at the same time because it was so difficult for the defense to key on both backs. Walker can do some damage over the course of a season with the simple fullback dive.

I definitely agree with this. My biggest concern with Walker is that you simply turn on the run blitz when he's back there. If he's going he can be a load to bring down but when he's getting ramped up to speed he's no harder to tackle than I would be.

If Kody is really set on being a tailback next year, I think he should drop about 25-30 lbs. He'd still be a monster back at 230-235 lbs.

Walker's coming back for another year isn't a done deal.

I'm expecting to go into the fall with a RB corps w/ 10 career carries

That would require RW3 to be out as well.

I know.

He may want to play w/ all his heart. Who knows what his neck has to say about it.

We'll find out in a few months

I agree. He runs upright and tries to cut/bounce to the outside a lot. He would be better served at around 230 IMO.

Could we maybe see a 2deep like this

QB- Allen, Town
RB - Williams, Whaley
(FB) - Cantrell, Johnson
TE - Sprinkle, Gragg
LT - BWallace, Gibson
LG - Malone, Merrick
C - Rogers, Boyd
RG - Ragnow, Heinrich
RT - Skipper, Jackson
WR - Hatcher, Mitchell
WR - Morgan, Cornelius
(WR) - Reed, Pettway

There really are a ton of WR on our roster... Seriously like maybe the deepest in the SEC considering the 3 coming in as well.

DE - Beanum, Bell
DT - Jackson, Froholdt
DT - Johnson, Ledbetter
DE - Wise, Agim
LB - Greenlaw, Eugene
LB - Doucet, Ellis
LB - Phillips, Hackett
CB - Collins, Pulley
CB - Dean, Sykes
S - Liddell, Ramirez
S - Tolliver, KRich

If we can find a QB then I really like the look of our offense.

Tom Rathman is one of my all time favortie football players.

As much as I hate Nebraska those FB dives from the wishbone where they'd go right up the A gap untouched for 20 yards were a thing of beauty.

With the backfields we've had over the past decade plus, and given the move to the spread and the resulting 5 DB defenses and smaller LB'rs in the game I don't know why we wouldn't take advantage and run some throwback wishbone sets.

I'd love to see what Enos could pull with the wishbone. Have a WR and a TE in the backfield along with a RB. Screen plays all damn day.

Doesn't he announce tomorrow, but also is still planning on visiting next weekend?
