Blaming it on the females is just as dumb as if I blamed it on them being black, white, or polkadoted.

Just dumb all around. Don't be stupid. There are many aspects that lead to a player leaving early and every player uses different reasons.

I'm not saying it's THE reason, but it is a contributing factor. arkansas athletes have over inflated egos.

With the 99th pick, the Browns took LB Joe Schobert, another former walk-on at Wisconsin who eared his scholarship as a redshirt freshman. Solid player who forced seven fumbles in his career, tied for the most in Wisconsin history.

another bert walk on recruit paying off

Schobert was heading to some small school before bert & company got ahold of him and convinced him to walk on at Wisconsin

Bert's evaluation and developmental skills are unreal. We can already see impressive depth being built here.

As we head in to the 5th round, you have to start to wonder if AC3, JWill and Kirkland should have come back.

I'm sure they all got 2nd and 3rd round evals too.

The NFL's skin in the game is to get contractual leverage.

J Will's injury really spooked them to go early imo

I think so too but I'm just tired of watching Arkansas guys fall in the draft again. It seems common these days.

Agreed. I would love to see the numbers on how many of those grades the NFL hands out. That should be required so these kids aren't in the dark. You may get a 3rd round grade but we also gave out 200 of those type of thing.

What we could have had if AC3 and Denver had returned. denver had a kid on the way but suck it up and live poor for a year and make better bank next time around. I am not sure what he heck Collins was thinking. A four year 1000 yd rusher would have been a 2 or 3rd round type selection.

Oh I get the idea of a payday. Look who just took a spot in front of him. Paul Perkins, a guy who graded lower than him. Oh and there goes Jordan Howard too.

AC3 had an awesome year and I don't see how he could have had a better year. He's toted the rock for 3 full SEC seasons. He made the smart choice to enter the draft.

Another year of running for 1k wouldn't have made him run any faster or jump any higher at the combine. He would have been an idiot to come back. Literally the only reason I can think of is to be higher in the SEC and Arkansas record books.

Not that I disagree with his decision, but he may have been able to help the perception that his work ethic is lacking. A full year of being in shape, showing up on time, etc. May have made a difference.
