It's somewhat humorous that this kid and his family have alienated themselves more from the state than the kid who made a YouTube video saying "damn Arkansas to hell."

Best tight end class – Arkansas
There isn’t really a close second. We have Arkansas tight end commit Austin Cantrell ranked higher as a four-star than the 247Sports Composite but the industry is in full agreement on C.J. O’Grady and Will Gragg being future stars at the position. We think Arkansas is bringing in three tight ends that will play in the NFL.

I can't wait to see what Enos schemes up for those guys. Such an embarrassment of wealth he will have to utilize.

hate that KJ Hill stuff has gotten so out of hand, but it definitely has.
Pathetic, I bet it is a drama filled experience wherever he goes. Time to move on, and quickly may I add.
So, Reed? Will we wait, dude is an absolute beast. Wish he would qualify!
Who is next? Ultimate, tell me now who we have no chance on!

So the Bama article said KJ was privately committed to Alabama even before he committed to Arkansas.

I think we need to forget about KJ. I think that ship sailed a long time ago, and these recent outburst by his parents have been a long time coming. I hold no ill will towards the kid, but I fear his parents drama will follow him wherever he goes until he can put a stop to it.
So who do we finish this class with? How many are we taking? Is there any good surprises coming?

We're def not getting Weathersby. He's not the biggest fish and he's not going to be a beast.

For his sake, I hope he doesn't allow his parents to ruin that next decision as well. The one where he is trying to decide where to transfer in two years.

I know this is going to sound like "well he decommitted from ya'll and it's sour grapes... or whatever"
but I've seen KJ's highlights and while I think he's a good player I don't see the 4star rating. He's not exceptionally tall, quick, or fast. I'd say he has good hands but wouldn't call them great. At BEST he's a poor man's Joe Adams and I even think that's a stretch.
I think we'd be better served with a 6-4 type kid with some speed and good hands that can get vertical and stretch the field. If our offense can keep the Safeties honest, our backs will run like gang busters.
so in conclusion, being an instate kid I wish we would get KJ but if he chooses elsewhere......
"WELL..... BYE!!!!"

That sounds like your trying to convince yourself it's going to be okay. KJ's a great player, deserves to be ranked at a 4 star, and will be a great college player if he doesn't pull as Korlis Marshall. He'd be a great asset where ever he goes. He's not the first player to have insane parents, and he's damn sure not the last. If he's a Razorback, fantastic, if he's not, not a huge loss, but let's not pretend it's not a loss at all.

there's no need to convince, it will be okay regardless of what kj decides. while i don't contribute anything of value to the this thread as far as updates and juicy info, i still read it all and i'm over reading about him and especially his folks. he can go elsewhere, that's more than fine with me. there will be no sadness or anger or anything. bye bye and good luck.
besides him- is there anything/anyone else of interest to talk about?

I agree. This thread is where I get 100% of my recruiting info. This board is much more sane and calm than any other out there. The psyche of our fan base has been irreparably altered in the past 4 years and this is the last place I can find a little sanity.
All that to say, I think this KJ Hill stuff is the last thing our University, fan base, and state needs. I honestly think they see the end of recruitment coming and they're going to lose out on all the love and pampered treatment they've lived on the past 2 years. The minute he signs with Alabama or OSU, he's just another number alongside kids as talented or more talented than him and they have to start over. Both rosters are so stacked that any prima-donna attitude will be knocked out of him quick.
I'm excited to see NSD pass and his name fade in to internet history for a year or two.

Interesting: one of the country's top college football coaches is on the NLR campus today, while one of the state's top HS coaches is not.

I don’t get the whole thought process on the decision.
Yes, A. Cooper had an usually great season for a WR at Alabama. However, this was with a senior QB and a weaker offensive line than Bama usually has. It won’t be long before they go back to ground and pound. That means they will mostly likely be running lots of 2 WRs sets. The probability of him seeing the field is low with their competition at WR.
However, he would see immediate playing time here. He would see lots of single coverage on the outside because of our scheme. He would be able to showcase his talent and have more opportunity to develop.
Makes no sense from a career standpoint.

Yeah, like I said, I have no problem with us not landing Hill, but I was replying to ElDawgHawg's post's analysis.
Any idea who's in Houston? A new WR coach?
