Per RD:

As reported earlier today, Miami Norland linebacker Rayshad Jackson reports receiving an offer from Arkansas. He said he's been talking to Shannon for a few weeks before getting his offer from the Hogs last night. He told Shannon he wants to commit and Shannon said he'll call him in the next two days and talk about a commitment.

Jackson said Shannon wants him to officially visit in Jan. Coach Bret Bielema usually likes prospects to visit before accepting a commitment. This could be the case too.

Im about ready for some commitments, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Also, does anybody know if LaMichael Pettway is going to officially visit?

he's unofficially visiting this weekend and Ole Miss next weekend -- I expect him to officially visit at some point but right now it's a fluid situation with him

What's crazy is this guy is the HiV wet dream from measurables, but the sky will fall because non of the recruiting services had heard of him. My grandmother is better than that, of course she's 6'2, 240, and runs a 4.55 40.

Seriously, everybody. Don't go getting soft on me this summer. You're sitting around the pool all day, chasing the muff around. Break down!

Been hoping he'd be our final in-state offer. He's a type of player that we don't have on the roster at the moment.

I know they're talking him as a WLB, but my years of playing internet OC/DC/position coach/scout/athletic director tell me that strong safety is where he'll get paychecks at.

I doubt he'd keep his speed at 235, he's already 210-215 lbs. Early has him physically advanced, I don't think he's a Ramsey type that would instantly pack on 25lbs by eating well and hitting the weights like a madman. 225 with speed and agility is where he becomes a difference maker.

Dalton Person at 247 with Dre Greenlaw:

Yet, the process is complicated for Greenlaw. His father, Brian Early, is a former quality control coach for the Razorbacks and the current defensive line coach at Arkansas State where Greenlaw is currently committed.

"It's been a dream since I was three to go to Arkansas," Greenlaw said. "But it's tough because I have family at A-State. Being close to them and having that there whenever I would need it would be special.

"But like I said, it's always been a dream to play at Arkansas, and then my dad got the job over there and it changed my perspective a bit. Still, it'd just be really hard to turn down a dream come true."

Once he received the news from Bielema, Greenlaw spoke with his father later on in the evening.
"He was happy," Greenlaw said. "He was just telling me congrats and that I deserved [the offer]. Whatever decision I make, he said that he'll support me."

Wait, so Bert is getting 3*s to walk on now?

Remember when we struggled to fill out a class with 2*s?

Yup, I've been hoping we could keep him from taking a Sun Belt offer.

I'm not proud to admit that I scan the recruiting lists for guys that we could steal up across the southern U.S.
